you can buy full headset faulty one for 40 take the port out- open up and replace - no soldering -done in 30 min . not that "hard work " really. and still can use other parts to salvage... done that so that is why i know.

yea, but its a 1 hour job.. Say the port costs $15 as a part, you expect 90 dollars for an hour of work? Anything over 50-60 + parts charge is extortion. Oh I forgot.... You can't just find the parts lol. The company does not provide part replacements or work with companies that otherwise could provide them. So like another commenter said, you are buying a faulty headset for $50 instead of a simple part. Then disassembling that 1 as well, adding to the cost and time it takes to replace the part. I suppose $100 is fair.. Makes you want to buy from a different company though, one with part resellers.

I just instead bought a 128gb with a broken camera, changed motherboard,and solved two problems in one shot and got a nicer frame without the burns because I didn’t want to deal with the flex wires but great job nonetheless👍

I believe they used a Nintendo switch OLED port by the looks of it and they probably bent the back pins to line up with the solder pads

Hello! I have two pair of oculous systems that I need repaired but cannot find anyone to work on them. One the little camera that's in front of the system is broken. My daughter dropped the headset and it cracked and now it doesn't register to the remotes. The type C ports for the Oculus are not in circulation so we had to adapt a similar type of port to make it work.

It must have been related to overcharging. When the device was received, part of the cable was still embedded in port.
