Today I will be conducting a torture test on the Oculus Quest 2 and the Elite Battery Headstrap. I'm going to do my best to replicate real life scenarios to see just how robust this headset is. Drop tests, lens scratch tests, controller tests, and of course.. putting it into a dryer. So, does the Quest 2 survive?

Coming back to watch this after 2.5k-3k hours in this headset and has dropped it more times than I can count.. and dances like a maniac in VRChat, rarely any issues. Headset 100% good other than elite strap variant or 2 breaking, and a couple controllers break. As well some software issues but doing a hard reset fixes them. Very impressed with this headset.

Can confirm, my bed frame was unstable and my VR was on the floor. I didn't even know that my weight alongside the heavy wooden board under it was crushing it for an entire night of sleeping if not way longer and when I found it I thought I wasted around 400$ worth of money and my father would get upset but suprisingly it worked perfectly fine like nothing happened. All I can say is the oculus is a beast.

having owned and been actively using my quest 2 for over a year, it is VERY durable, my headset has gone flying off my head my controllers thrown and i have had no tracking issues, no damages and not even a visible scratch anywhere on the headset. defo one of the most durable headsets out there at the moment.

Honestly the the Quest 2 controllers are pretty well executed. The headset and especially lenses are a bit fragile, but I think that kind of comes with the territory.

The way I feel about either of the quest headsets is they were made just for you to use them till you can get something like the HTC vive or oculus rift. Basically a beginner headset for people who havent used one before until they learn how and get enough money for a better pc headset.

I watched this after hitting the right controller pretty hard against a heavy chandelier hanging from the ceiling while trying to throw a grenade. When it happened I just sat on the floor and was afraid to take of my headset because I was expecting the controller to be totally wrecked (I only had the headset for 2 days at that point). To my surprise it had only a minor, barely visible, dent and was still perfectly functional. My hand probably took more damage. That Polywatch stuff completely blew my mind btw.

The headset and controllers are pretty durable, but in my experience with the elite extended battery strap is not the same story, I had one and used it not a lot (which is why it lasted so long) for about 5 months straight and just like in those first pictures it broke like that, we had an extra one (my mom has a quest as well with an extended battery) and she let me use the extended battery head strap from her headset and I put it on mine, I've been using it a lot for about 1 or 2 months and it's already starting to chip in certain areas and crack a little bit, the plastic for the areas that bend wasn't such a good idea, so if you have an elite battery head strap I suggest to be careful about prolonged bending in certain areas mainly the sides of the head strap. Overall, the actual headset itself is holding up pretty well like it was when we first got it, I have been enjoying the headset and I see a lot of other people enjoying it as well. The price for it is pretty good as well for how much the headset can give you. This video, was painful, a stab to the heart, and multiple droppings of my soul. You get a sub and like.

I have banged my right controller on literally everything by accident, the only "break" it had was the vibration sensor started becoming violent so...I plopped it down on the shelf I keep it on, next day it was working fine. Only permanent issue is the pointer finger sensor is actually broken sort of, I can't point with my right hand unless it is tied to a button, which isn't too bad because it's a bit glitchy and sometimes I get my pointer finger in game like in Echo VR.

If you didn't buy it off oculus and you do break it they will still send you a replacement if you still have warranty (1 year) you just need to answer the questions and stuff so your fine

Came back after I got 2 sxstches on my right lense idk if it was from the kiwi cloth, when the face mask comes off when you have a hard tome putting it back on, the trash bag I used to block sun lights when I take it on the go , or some kind of pest They dont appare to be visible in game I only noticed shineing a light on it to see if it needed to be cleaned. I now plan to be extra careful and will end up buying a case for it at some point

I had to buy a new controller for thumbstick issues, not sure what happened there. But I have bruised my hand by chopping furniture very....very hard. And the controllers were fine. Given my hand took most of the blow, but still.

Wow all that stuff and everything still works, all I had to do was open the box and the left controller had an update error. So it wont go past setup screen, and the whole unit now has t9.be replaced.

@@bingus9813 You plug it into the usb c port on the side of the headset, and then into your computers usb c port (if you have one) otherwise if you dont have one you could always try an adapter from usb c to usb 3.0 but idk if that would work.
