There’s something I believe you missed in the travel cases part of the video: the Casematix oculus quest carrying case. I’ve been using it for a bit over a month now and it’s really good. There’s case customization with little foam cubes on the inside that you can remove or insert to get a perfect fit. I personally love it

I went with the AMVR grips after watching a few KZbin comparisons with the Mamuts. Very comfortable, grippy, and feel good in hand. The only time I don't like them is when I have to change the controller batteries, which requires a loosening of the velcro straps used to hold the straps to the controllers. For comfort, I attached some weights to the rear strap for counterbalance, then used a generic leather face cushion - my Quest is as comfortable as my CV1 as a result. For headphones, I went with a pair of Koss Porta Pros that were modified to strap to the Quest via a seller on Etsy -- sounds better than my CV1, which also used Koss headphones (just not as good as the Porta Pros). Like you, I went with the Lowepro case - great for keeping the Quest and all its accessories in one space in my home.

Not cheap but hard to beat my Quest 2 setup. 1) Best strap is the *Vive DAS* (super comfortable, solid built-in headphones, has springs for easy peak & venting, and looks awesome if you like black). 2) Get a 3D printed adapter set from Etsy, to mount the deluxe audio strap. 3) I also added the Apache comfort strap (over forehead) & rear battery strap from *studioform creativeVR.* (I used a simple rubber band to keep my 600mAh battery from sliding out). I get over 6 hrs in _Population One_ ☝🏼 4) like most ppl suggest you need the *VR cover* face plate & halo bumpers or Kiwi grips

I have the Kiwi plastic part of the facial interface for the vents, with the thick padding from VR Cover, and the cloth from VR Cover. I also have the VR Cover strap padding. I then used Sony earbuds and just utilized the VR Cover strap padding for cable management. I did try adding the Rebuff Reality battery, but found it all too heavy. I may just strap that to a belt loop or something for long game play.

Heard a lot of complaints about the audio on the rift-s, and i have to wonder if i have sensitive hearing or there is a lot of people with hearing loss . I find the built in speakers on a Rift s good enough , i have no urge to plug in some other source . With that said some games have sounds at times that come out a little low , and in that case i could see reason for using headphones or earplugs . I have never been a fan of earplugs or headphones directly on the ears and i think it has paid off , i am 52 and under a hearing test i hear sounds that only the young are meant to hear . The controller grips looked good and a good idea . I have already got a silicon face , and i would recommend them , they seem to stop the headset from slipping or moving . As for working out in the headset , i use a sweat headband for all exercise .

Ever since I got the Go Quest VR halo headstrap, I've never went back to the default headstrap. In fact, I even threw it away once I started using the go quest halo. The comfort is so much more comfortable than the default that I would almost consider it a mandatory upgrade. It also fixed the issue with the headset being front heavy so that's another plus. 100% recommend that you get one if you own a quest. One more bonus is that the halo even fits the case I use for the quest. It's not the official oculus case but rather it's the Hijiaro travel case. Small, compact, hard casing, and enough room to fit the go quest halo. So yes, 100% get the go quest halo!

I've bought 2 USBCells like ages ago (2009ish IIRC) and they're damn cool, but I literally ended up charging them just like usual ones as it takes ages to charge them on USB - but it's great if that makes you carry one thing less. BTW I switched to Sanyo Eneloops (Panasonic bought them a while ago) in the same year, and they haven't let me down. Big advantage of those is that they keep their charge level up for quite long. The USBCells drain themselves a lot more rapidly, just like common ones.
