I have a theory that Luffy's awakening is based on day light/night light. He was all white because it was night and moon light is more white and less strong than sun light. So when Luffy activate gear 5 during the day, he will be all fire themed, with orange hair, flaming clothes and absolutelly more powerfull than night time gear 5.

My theory pertaining to Luffy’s Zoan forms is that base Luffy, gear 2 and gear 3 are his human forms, gear 5 is his Zoan form, and all his gear 4 modes are his hybrid forms; indicated by the smoke sash and the body markings but still with his black hair. I think the same thing applies to Chopper but he hasn’t gone full on human yet.

Few observations: 1. I've always wondered about Garp since he's been hyped up to fight against Roger, so I think Garp has the same ability as Shanks, which would allow him to be the "Hero of the navy". This makes me believe that Colby may have this ability as well in the end. 2. This ability would be needed against someone like Imu. 3. If Shanks can affect an Admiral like that, it makes me wonder if Shanks could have knocked out pretty much everyone, even the commanders on Whitebeard's ship too, which would explain Marco's comments about being on guard because of Shank's crazy haki.

What this means is that there are 3 types of fighters, first, like shanks relying on Haki alone. Second, Like BB, relying on Devil Fruit alone. And third, Luffy, relying on both. For me it's a very good playing field to create good fights as it helps more in creativity and interesting fight sequences. And for Oda to have variety of options to go with in future as we are still uncertain who the final villain ins. So, if it's shanks, Luffy could fight with Haki, If BB then Devil Fruits and Haki.

This video actually made me start to believe that Luffy may have one more transformation. Knowing now that he has a Mythical Zoan fruit, we have never actually seen Luffy’s full zoan transformation, and it’s very possible that he has one and hasn’t tapped into it yet. The gears that Luffy have might be variants of his hybrid form. The next transformation might be Full Nika Mode where it’s completely separate from a gear.

Luffy is based on Hindu God Hanuman, and one of Hanuman's traits is that he forgot how to use his power or how powerful he is. Hanuman can also be small like an atom and can be so big, weightless or be heavy as an immovable object, can control the weather, can be anywhere he wants in an instant like Goku. Hanuman is also son of Wind God. He also mistaken the Sun as a fruit. So for me Luffy's awakening is incomplete as of the moment and he just reached Katakuri's level of awakening compared to Doffy's bird cage. To match Shanks he needs his Conquerors Haki to inflict physical damage and he needs to infuse his Conquerors Haki with Observation Haki.

Just thought about this while watching your video..Maybe Joyboy who mastered the awakening of the Nika Nika fruit was the one who created the Red Line (seen as luffy can reanimate his surroundings upon his will). He did it to prevent the World government from fully conquering the whole world. Blocking their easy access to everything. That's why they badly needed the devil fruit to remove it or prevent any new user in doing the same. If Luffy can do the same feat as the original Joyboy then the chain of events that would happen will prove the prophecies about him (destroying fish man island). Original Joyboy divided the whole world while Luffy will be the one to combine them all. Anyways great vid as always!

I always felt like a burst of conquerors haki could nulify powers, etc. When luffy uses conquerors on fishman island, when he uses it once Monet almost puts him to sleep in punk hazard. Marineford is the best example everyone around stopped what the were doing and the fighting stopped for a brief second when luffy's will overpowered everyone. When You think about Shanks's crew not having devil fruits, while caring about Nika so much - there is only one explanation. For some reason, DFs are bad for people. Maybe You can't get what You want on Laugh Tale if You are a user? There might be two other explanations: Shanks doesn't recommend them, because past fruit's will will impact Your own and You can't be truly free (which is the essence of being a pirate). And my favourite explanation - Shanks can make flames, can have the most powerful haki etc because HE IS THE DEVIL. Whatever is the essence of DF, he already IS ONE. And maybe everyone on his crew is descendent of this essence. That's why they can't have devil in them, because they already are one on their own. Maybe they are devil fruits that got turned into people by something?

Luffy commanding his heart to beat harder and faster, similar to the stress Gear Second places on his heart, can be interpreted as foreshadowing. Although unfortunate, it’s entirely possible that Luffy could be severely damaging his body with his latest Gear Fifth powerup. The signs are certainly there to foreshadow such a situation, even if a few of them could potentially be gags and jokes by Oda. The mention of Luffy’s heart seems too coincidental. It is likely that the post-Wano arc will see Chopper breaking the news about the negative impact of the form. i think the strongest form of conqueror's haki is hiding in Luffy's latent ability that Mihawk mentioned. Mihawk stated that Luffy's scariest abiloty was the ability to make allies of anyone. True Conqueror's Haki isn't merely about ovwrwhelming force of will, its about being able to change hearts with the charisma and purity of your will and dreams. that might be the truest conqueror's haki form available only to a member of the true D clan. That ability is Luffy's ace in the hole - if he ever learns to truly use it

My headcanon is that the Gomu Gomu is a special paramcia, and due to the weird "elusive" nature of the fruit as well as the concept of liberation, etc, the awakened mode then counts as a mythical zoan (due to the freaking toon force lol). Luffy shouldn't be a chosen one, but could have smile / spirit of the past Joy Boy, hence why the fruit likes him but wasnt fated.

@@tryan6239 tru, in fact I don't have a problem with it for the most part. Tbh, I just get confused on why they made it a SUN based god...when just making it a liberation god wouldve been good. He is free to contort his body because he doesnt go by the rules of the world, and the awakened mode allows him to influence what he comes ion contact with. And even then, you dont have the change the DF too much, just classify the awakened mode as something special, they can retro fit that perfectly since it follows the same logic. Think about it, the DF didnt become close to relevant (in the grand scheme of things) until it awakened. Thats when Zou recognized it has Joyboy.

Kaido had insane stamina haki... It can overwhelm luffy multiple times.. Luffy needs to boost his stamina for haki.. Shanks when he ready to fight his haki automatically activate n scares all his opponents... Luffy's haoshoku haki is still in normal level compared to kaido n bigmom, even shanks could easily overwhelm him at this point... He beat kaido with ryuo armament haki, haoshoku haki training will be up next arc

Luffy during Wano grew 250-300% to become as strong as he is now. Still he is 85-90% of Kaidos total power. But that means that despute all the pros and cons why Kaido was already attacked plentifully before before Luffy took him down, or on the other hand that Kaido had homefield advantage, in the end Luffy, and ONLY Luffy managed to have a power output so massive that it was strong enough to take Kaidos max attack. Meaning Luffys final attack was even stronger than Kaidos final attack. That means that Post Wano in a fresh fight of Luffy against Kaido, Luffys attack is higher, but Kaido wil still last longer, but that Luffy at the end of the fight will have closed the gap and end up truly winning from Kaido 1 v 1. No fight where Luffy is 85% of the enemies power was ever lost by Luffy. So the next time 100% is yet again a Luffy win.

I feel like Shanks is going to be the only character in the story able to cancel out anyone's Haki AND Devil Fruit abilities as he sees fit, with certain limitations of course, which is why no one dares to go against what he says or does (e.g. This war is over because I said so). If this power isn't unique to him then it has to be some third and final stage of Conqueror's Haki that truly makes you a conqueror among men since your willpower, if it didn't already make someone pass out, leaves someone so defenseless that they have no power to rely on but their pure strength and skill.

I’m also amazed how Oda shown how completely other world level Shanks’ Haki is. Long-range target with black lightning and with message. Also it is now explained how Shanks was able to get in the middle of the war without one notice his presence, and stopped the raging Akainu’s punch easily. I don't get the problem that people in one piece have with observation killing future sight, don't use observation haki. All you have to do is train your body to have instant reflexes (all trained athletes) and don't prepare or think about your attacks, just do them like luffy did against Enel, a high tier observation haki user made completely useless. Also, the mink have a skill or method to avoid observation haki seen when they ambushed luffy on zou. Thus making Shanks observation haki killing useless. Shanks probably uses something similar to appear suddenly like at marineford.
