Majority of bans are manually done unless the cheater isn't using a script with modern preventive ban features such as a unique mouse movement for every player. 200k players was peak recently , osrs is a team of roughly 83 staff. It is what it is.

It's the same as OSRS, but some of us have been playing for a long time and wanna change air from time to time

@@leancamo800 yes I have pvmed at that level and I've pvmed with him before. Maxed iron and main with bis everything ended up quiting because how necromancy completely devalued the game for me (not because of the monetary value but the time spent). Then they pushed hero pass again which just sealed the deal for me. I very sparingly play osrs now, since I will never cancel my 5 dollar memberships lol. It sucks to think about all the years of RS I've played just being thrown away but I had a great time up to that point.

don't blame the player, hate the game. If you bot for years and you don't get banned, it's not against the rules. Jagex has been constantly told and they refuse to do anything about it. What pisses me off is a random double standard and inconsistency. Some people get banned after using a macro immediately, others do not. People using the same script, same spot. At least if everyone was allowed to bot, at least it wouldn't feel as unfair. And it's probably not some "muh jmod friends" either, it's just incompetency. Runescape3 finally had a bot busting day, jagex did have the option to ban them, they just didn't want to, because... ... it inflated their numbers. Yeah, on their front page they actively brag about "muh 300.000 players online". Doesn't look so good on random big name websites when they talk about runescape and it's only like "oh only 10k people? Meh probably a shit game, don't try it". Jagex cares more about the opinion of these scumbag shill websites like IGN rather than us. Management politics. Managers who don't even play the game. This is not what osrs was about. This is what runescape 3 was about when they started the disnification, removing wildy (as much as I hate it), trade limits, and the pay to win spin to win gambling for children, making everything look like disney, "make it appealing to little children", trying to make the game look more like world of warcraft "because it's succesful so let's copy it", forcing the "evolution of combat" down our throats that nobody liked, and look at the numbers. Game plumetted.

@@ATROFlAR I see the point you're trying to make but I agree with @IIVIU in that the accountability has to lie with Jagex if there is a lack of consistency with rule enforcement. We all know that they can't be perfect and that it's an uphill battle, but seeing bots with 200m xp in a skill able to bot for years without anything happening to them shows either complete incompetence on Jagex's part, or that they are complicit with what's going on.
