There were specific spots for each item -- runes were out back of zaff's shop, fletching items and arrows were east of the anvils, rare items and runite items were south of the west bank, and scammers stood in the bank selling mint cakes to noobs for bank. Good times. I still remember buying my first full set of rune armor, my first set of saradomin armor, my first members items (bone weaponry, thinking it was really expensive but it wasn't) and eventually my first whip after hours of running essence/air runes for runecrafters in south of fally. that shit was my first job lmao

Miss the old RuneScape, that fence at varrock wildly which was the real ditch that’s blocking the wilderness now. Varrock bank just jammed pack in world 1-2 , chilling in varrock mid, talking to people training underground varrock dungeons, pre bounty hunter/clan wars. (Literally remember when that update happened and wasn’t able to attack anyone and just quit, but then gave bh a try.) clan such as GPZ, MG, pink aprons, Hpz. F2P multi pking was just massive back in the day. Miss it

When EOC came out I remember going to the steel and iron dragons in the Brimhaven dungeon to try it out. Killed 2 dragons, logged out and quit until OSRS came out. Felt like a completely different game.

I remember when OSRS came out and there were no minimap orbs for HP, pray, and energy. So, a lot of people used clients like Orion (I think this would eventually become RSBuddy) to have them displayed. Eventually it would be polled and I remember there was a shit ton of pearl clutching and whinging that adding the minimap orbs was the same as implementing EoC on OSRS, and was going to ruin the game. There was also Pkers who didn’t want it because they wanted easier smites. Ultimately it passed, but there was a lot of weirdo purists around back then who would’ve given it all to keep barrows, KBD, and KQ as the only end game content and let it die the same death as RSC.

Fixed players just gotta switch to modern resizable but in almost the same client size (765x517 to prevent inventory overlapping with spec orb) its rly nice for everything and you get some extra FOV

6:22 a friend told me also that the distance the server will be displayed in fixed is better than full screen. Haven't got the chance to verify but if true fixed screen is a no brainer for pvp. Always get the first pid.

when osrs was only a month or two old i got a visage drop, had to pay another guy #1 smithing rank to make me a dfs for 250k cash which was huge since rune scims were 50k each and i kept the dfs for months as it was highest str bonus in game and great defense. sold the dfs for 50m cash when gwd came out

@@BlackMamba-vl4ks Yes really. The entire reason they removed it in the first place was because the insane amount of stolen cards and charge backs they were receiving. Mainly due to people engaging in CC theft then botting on OSRS. When they removed trade it basically shutdown all of these people.
