Haruma’s faces were a sight to behold. I just like charismatic antagonists/rivals making INSANE faces. Vector or Yami marik anyone ? Obviously Haruma is not at that level but It was still enjoyable to see

Plot itself is nth new though, but undeniably the character development of the 2nd series is soooo much better than previous one. We as audience can feel his growth very clearly, both in his playing and mental. Also, Light didnt force his thought on anyone, he just battle you and understand you, only then give you advice. That's indeed the mature way dealing with people. Unlike the previous annoying brat who keep shouting shadoba tanoshii without any core value and his own thought. It is obvious that light will win this rematch, but the process still give me chills, and i really rooted for him and satisfied with his winning. How bout the previous MC u asking? I dont even want to see his battle. Seriously the battle between side character are far more enjoyable than the tanoshii brat

As someone whose watched the series twice now, haruma as a character is fantastic as a antagonist, he pushes the main character to have a reason to want to reach or go beyond a persons ability in strength. Haruma was never evil just honestly kind of a dick, in his own weird way he was trying to help. Cant be beaten if you give up the game. I think as lights original rival he pushed light to start to focus on becoming a better player. I honestly hope haruma will join seventh flame that would create a club thats actually unbeatable.

Question as a AMV watcher over a episode watcher, but did Light and Haruma end up at the final round again and thus Haruma probably beat some Seventh Flame Nakama on the way up that was (presumably) not shown, or is there some other rule for why everyone seems to have, best as I can tell, gotten one match each.

Not sure if you've gotten your answers already, but just in case you haven't...The tournament had kind of a weird set up where it wasn't really everyone in an even bracket, but more like Seventh Flame vs everyone (kinda like how chain battles work in the mobile game. You fight an opponent, if you win, you keep going, if you lose you stop there.) So basically someone in 7th Flame would choose to fight, win, and then they'd move on to the next club from 6th Magic all the way to 1st Reaper. It's a bit confusing but I hope this helps. 😅
