This tank is coming to be one of my favorite tanks I’ve watched. Look forward to seeing your other tanks.

@@IMaqua will be continuing to like and comment on each video to help with your video stats. The least someone can do when someone puts out a quality(and enjoyable) product is to support it, and I guess KZbin algorithm has to do with subscriptions likes, viewer retention and comments(for some reason commenting at end of video is better than top of video)…so it’s very little work to do…so I’ll continue to do so! If you get tired of commenting back no worry’s 😆!

I fully agree Lorenzo. I am pleased how things turned out.

Just a quick update (I am little bit ahead with filming in real time). I really didn't want to treat the whole aquarium but I spend countless hours to catch affected Hillstream loach and that turned to be mission impossible... I gave up. Treatment was 3 days and the medicine is safe for beneficial bacteria and the rest of the fish. I am glad to report all the fish survived and even the affected Hillstream loach is much more active, his fins are slowly healing and white discoloration is gone.

Glad to hear, what treatment product did you use?
@IMaqua2 жыл бұрын
Esha 2000. Its available here in Europe. Its a wide range medicine that treats against fungal and bacterial infection, finrot, dropsy, fungus, etc...

@@IMaqua Products covers a wide variety of ailments! I'll give it a try 🤙🤙

Yeah its really wide range. Only thing it doesn't cover is ich and some parasites. But ESHA has different medicine for that.

@@IMaqua It does look like a good product!! I tend to first go for aquarium salt then go from there

Good video update. Happy to see that medicine course worked and fish are healthy now. The gobies are really cool, I don't have any experience with these fish because I've never set up a tank that would suit them. Some day. I know all about your pain trying to catch a sneaky fish in a big aquascape with a lot of plants. Virtually impossible. Why does it seem you can catch fish so easily when it's not the fish you want? Maybe they just know who you are after... Take care.
@IMaqua2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's hard to catch any fish that is usually in the upper level of the water column. And these loaches are especially hard to catch. I had trouble moving them from quarantine to the tank. They stick to a surface and its virtually impossible to "unstick" them. And there is always a possibility of scratching them with a net and loaches have so sensitive skin.

Those are some pretty looking fish, especially when they colour up There is also a larger type of Goby Sp called Sicyopterus, very rare and beautiful, But they need a lid because they’ll climb out
@IMaqua2 жыл бұрын
Although I have a lid on this aquarium I never seen these gobies go above the waterline. Btw they are so personable and eccentric. Really amazing.
@The_Sovereign_of_Dawn2 жыл бұрын
@@IMaqua There are some Gobies in Hawaii that “climb” waterfalls, but they’re hardly ever in the aquarium trade, the scientific name is Sicyopterus Stimpsoni
@IMaqua2 жыл бұрын
If they can climb waterfalls maybe that the reason they are so rare. But these red lipstick ones are amazing.
@The_Sovereign_of_Dawn2 жыл бұрын
@@IMaqua Yes sadly, most of these fish aren’t regularly imported, I’m lucky to keep are the Red-Tailed Rock Gobies, my LFS got a group of them for me a couple weeks ago

Next Hillstream aquarium I do will definitely have more gobies in it. Would love to add some stiphodon atropurpureus or something similar.
