Shai Bolton should be embarrassed after his performance against the power and he should fee fortunate that this did not cost the tigers the game. Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay had a few moments to forget against the dons and the flopping as well. Johnny Nobel was stiff to be pinged 50 against the dees but did not affect the overall result. Both Jonas and Butters would not be in a good shape after their accidental collision between the two. Mitch Robinson's plead to not give away a free kick was interesting and I thought that pinging Steele Sidebottom for holding the ball was the correct decision. I am amazed how the umpires did not pay 50 for that IMO where I have seen other players get pinged for similar incidents like this.

Shai Bolton is usually really good in front, very strange to see so many misses. Charlie Curnow was fine, just a funny moment. McKay has to be penalized. He can't keep milking frees. Nobel shouldn't have been a 50m penalty.... too harsh for nothing wrong. Steele Sidebottom correct decision. Luckily it wasn't an obvious one or he could have got 50m for dropping the ball.

@@holdingthebull i dont hate that holding the ball against sidebottom, however it is ridiculous how inconsistent they are with this call(i havent seen it once this season) and it happened later in the game i believe with melbourne and nothing was called.

Ouch. That head clash woulda hurt, same with Robbo copping a stud to the nose. Agree that the 50 against collingwood for not standing is super harsh. It is the rule, but seriously. %0m is way to harsh. I think this again opens the door for a 20m penalty as well as a 50m... Some things like late hits should be 50m. But things like not standing when the umpire calls it should be a 20m. Reply with other things that you think should be differentiated between 50m or 20m penalties adn whether you agree or not.

The SANFL does a couple things different than the AFL. They have the 25m penalty and they also have the last ball kicked out is a free kick to the other team. I think this might increase the flow of the game.

on the last one steele didnt even see viney coming at him and if the boundry line is there theres no opportunity to turn and handpass and is his only option to go there and give to the umpire. In my opinion the call should not change in only one game and one call.

I have to disagree. Just because you don't see a player coming at you doesn't mean it's not holding the ball. What about chase tackles? I'm sure the player doesn't know he's there and still gets called holding the ball.
