Oddities on the Hamilton Sub: CN and DME Leading CP Trains! [FPON] [HD]

With a break from work and school for the weekend, I was able to get out trackside and take advantage of the perfect weather. The Hamilton Sub, a fairly quite and predictable line unfolded to some oddities on Saturday morning with the appearance of a CN leader on Sudbury-Buffalo manifest # 246. The story behind the CN leader is that it is using up some remaining horsepower hours and will stick around on CP until those hours are payed off (benefit for us railfans). As for the DME leader, there was no explanation to that but no one was going to complain! Overall, it was a fantastic day on the Hamilton Sub which saw the CN, DME, RailGrinder, Herzog Ballast Train and the regular manifests. Stellar shots there Ryan! It's been a interesting week on the Hamilton sub, CN power, DME leader, ballast trains with a Red Barn leading and 254 had intermodal the other day! It's good you were able to catch a good chunk of that action!

We get DME were I live too! But we don't get any es44 locomotives (which is the 3rd locomotive on the DME lead train) for some reason that I don't understand.
