Wow, some really great catches in those heritage units. I heard the Grinder come by my house 3 nights ago at approx 3 AM, talking about loud, at first I thought we had a derailment, but it was just the grinder. But back in 2008 we had a Coal train jump the track, cause of accident ended up to be a broken rail, They dump out coal for almost 3/4 mile along the tracks and destroy about 15 cars, piled up one upon another. That North/South CSX Main line, trains run upward to 60 mph, and this train was running at accident at 52 mph, So you can see the mess we had. It them over a week to get the line back open. I went down to railside with some friends and they got to great films, I just went to observe all of what was going on.Thanks again, Scott, for this video.

That`s the one thing I` always cautious off when I`m near the tracks filming. If I see a car really wobbling or out of line with the others, I`m getting away from that track as fast as my old legs will carry me!

Fabulous mixed manifest Scott! I liked both heritage units pulling this train. An Illinois Terminal and a Wabash, neither of which I've heard of before. I love the colors on the Illinois Terminal unit and the Wabash was fantastic too! There were several tank cars that had no visible hatch. I don't understand that. But anyway, great catch Scott! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

That was a fabulous mixed manifest Scott! Long and fast, plus a lease DPU with some fancy paint. It had 152 cars and among them more empty bulkhead cars than I've ever seen! Fantastic catch Scott!! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

Boy oh boy! Talk about being overwhelmed with trains. Weren't there 4 trains for a little bit Scott? We had the NS grain going away and then NS coming to us for a meet. At the same time there was one way off in the distance to the left and the train crossing the diamond. I thought they were all together for a moment, but I could be wrong. But even 3 at once is insanely cool!!! 😎 What an amazing catch!!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Another CSX mixed manifest with the Monon heritage unit looking brand new! Good train Scott! Except for the Monon unit nothing particularly special about the rest of the train. Great catch Scott! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

A NS mixed manifest led by heritage unit number 1800. Cool locomotive! 😎 It was 105 cars +/- including 2 loads of long steel, but due to the shadows I couldn't tell for sure what. Also lots of new ties on the way to the preservation treatment facility. Awesome train Scott, and I thank you! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

# 1 Scott stunning new locos! Straight out of the showroom. Triple N/S hitting the diamonds fab sound & a quad meet, cool. Never seen that before. I saw N/S 4000 up in Cleveland yesterday cool seeing 4001 today. Great catches Scott, congrats to your daughter🎉 😊👍

I certainly had my share of dealing with them. I must say though, if there was only 1 violation our inspector would allow me to correct it. The audits were still intimidating. 😊😊😊❤❤❤

The NS covered hopper looked like it was fairly long even though I didn't count it! The Reading Lines heritage unit was cool too Scott! Is there a reason they were called the Bee Line? It seems like an odd name unless they serviced a huge apiary customer that shipped car loads of honey every day. It was a great catch too! 😊😊😊❤❤❤

I looked it up and here is an excerpt from the info I found. After the steam era, the “Iron Horse Ramble” excursions, pulled by T-1 4-8-4 steam locomotives built in the road’s own shops in 1945-48, made the Reading well known all over the U.S. In the mid-1960s, Reading introduced its innovative “Bee Line Service.” A shipper could order a train of up to 20 cars to operate from point to point with one crew. This fast service, blurbed on some of the Reading’s yellow-and-green high-horsepower diesels, was designed to compete with trucks for short-haul traffic.

The LORAM grinder was neat!! Do they use successively finer grits to grind, and is that why they have 4 of them? What are the 3 cars with what appear to be water cannons on the tops? Thanks Scott!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

I don`t know about the different grits, but the cars are full of water that douse the rails after grinding in case of a fire.
