I think it’s called Grand Design. It’s on Netflix and prime (I think... as of 08/2020). The episode where they build the house in the “void space” between row homes in London is my favorite. So stressful but omg the house ends up perfect.

That One Guy In The Comment Section In the original everything that wasn’t stone was wood, like a cigarette wrapped in rock. The rebuild is a lot different. They are making the floor supports out of steel for one. Modern fireproofing of materials is a thing as well.

No you are not alone, everyone in my class chose architecure because they wanted to do modeling and design buildings. But they will teach you stuff like statics, economy and a lot around this topic. It’s fun tho, just a little but harder than everyone think 😂

People build on historical archaeology digsites all the time, it's how older cities work. First you dig out the pieces of pottery and then you build on top of it.

Joshalots All homes when first constructed feel empty. The point being when they are filled with personally chosen furnishings and decorations that the client wants, they become more homely. Source: Currently studying architecture
