@@RyGuy-xq8ug Everyone's path is different, I am taking a very aggressive path and wanting to get to 1 Million in Revenue(Annually) no later than year 4. In order to do that, I have to make sure I have trained staff ready to go and a company solid culture that has the proper resources. That way I don't have to turn down good customers or jobs because "I don't have the time or man power." Which I believe is the number one thing that stops people from growing. They get way behind and the turn off marketing because they don't have the staff ready and the team equipped to meet the demand. I am a growth guy and it is a bit risky. The profit only comes during year 3 so its risky investing so much in year 1 and 2 but so far its working out well and we are growing very quickly but very healthy and we have a great group of guys that see this company as a place they can grow and become managers and leaders one day. The future looks good! Thank you for your question.
@RyGuy-xq8ug3 жыл бұрын
@@troxelservices You’re definitely spot on with more man power= more jobs = $$ I guess my question was how did you get that volume of work/customers built up to require 8 guys working. And on top of that get the equipment that can keep 8 guys working full time. Also. Where did you find 8 workers ?! Lol I have two and I thank the lord for them every day it’s so hard to find help ! 😠🤬

@@RyGuy-xq8ug I had a strong network of people I knew before starting the business from age 17 to 23 partly because I have older Teenage kids and additionally I have volunteered for many years leading a sports leagues, etc. where young adults are part of. I also have hired a lot of people age 18-23 in my previous line of work and that same network of people(their friends) knew I was starting a new company and wanted to be part of the future of it. But that is my story and not everyone is in that situation. However, my advise would be the following and it would apply to anyone. You must be a company that has a culture where people want to be part of. It can't just be a good paying job as that can only go so far to attract people and keep people when the going gets tough. They also have to see that they have future opportunities in the company 2-3 years down the line. Management, leadership, and other areas. As far as the first question goes regarding getting enough volume and work, I implemented many of the same things @Mike Andes talks about it. Mike is really doing a great job of being transparent and providing real discussion on how to grow a business. I discovered Mike about 6 months ago and it was refreshing to hear a guy that was saying some of the same things I was about business, but he has lived it and proven himself. I have learned a lot from Mike. I would be glad to share with you more about what I did to grow fast that might be helpful, feel free to text me or call me 901-671-8219.

Showing tips and tricks , time saving , what works what doesn’t made me watch the whole video. This was one of the best how to I have seen in a while.all the videos now days I follow are mediocre at best with the same things and not really informative. The voice over 👍🏻 while explaining things works.This is my second year cutting and I have a 30in time master but I may get the ex mark 30 due to the being more commercial grade. I am a full time nurse and part time lawn care with about 5-10 yards and or accounts.Mostly my neighbors and word of mouth.I enjoy lawn care and your video was helpful. Hope you get that 500 likes 😅

Just out of curiosity, what does your team do with the clippings? I own and operate in MD and we normally dont bag. But when its inevitable that we need to bag the trailer gets loaded up with contractor bags full of clippings. Then we have to take them to the recycle facility to dump them which takes up time. Ive created my business around attention to fine detail and wouldnt mind bagging everything, but i would need to rent a large dumpster or something to put the bags of clippings in at the end of each day. its just a logistical nightmare
