Eric, why don’t u or other experienced cappers go with the plus money run line bets instead of moneyline for baseball bets? There must be a long term reasoning for likely hood verse outcome for a team to win by 2+ runs. I like betting small and putting it on run line bets and even -2.5 or -3.5 for plus money plays. Maybe I’m making a long term mistake by doing this though. I’m only a $10 unit bettor and doing it for only two years.

There's a lot that goes into it, but the short version: it's a range-of-outcomes thing. When you bet a home favorite on the RL, the opposing team's the only one that bats in the 9th, so that's factored in. They're also priced relative to the total of the game, so that's factored in. A really fun discussion point for a future episode.

@@Eric_Lindquist ok so they have one less at bat to lead by 2+ runs unless it’s tied in the ninth and they hit a 2+ run hr then u lose the bet.

If you're betting the ML you could always do a ladder with the run lines. If you bet 10 on the ML, put 5 on -1.5 and then maybe 2.50 on -2.5 if you think they will win by multiple runs

When they are 2-3 in their last 5 against the Rockies (worst team in baseball) and the Pirates in their last 5 it's hard to want to put down -1.5 on them that is still juiced.
