Ah PS2 the best of my teenage years. A huge game changer for PlayStation, loved playing Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty on it. There weren't any KZbin tutorials for it back in 2003, if you got stuck on a mission it would trial and error but truly felt like a lifetime accomplishment when you did it by yourself.

I agree, the PS2 came out during my final year of medical school. I couldn’t wait to get one, the Madden game looked amazing at the time. It’s fairly easy 😁 I took apart my slim yesterday to do the clock battery, with no prior experience doing it or help and it took about 30-40 min with two screw drivers and some patience it’s easy. Just be careful to know where each screw goes cuz there’s a lot of them

I loved it too, but the truth is that it was only good because of the third party support it got that outmatched it's competitors. It was actually the weakest console of it's generation by quite a margin. Playing something like GTA3 on Xbox vs PS2 and it was night and day.
