I find the Oddworld lore fascination and hope to bring the Oddworld universe to life by telling the story of it and it's characters, creatures and locations so that they can be explained and theorised about by delving into Oddworld theory and the lore of the universe of the Oddworld games!

I always love when a boss/character sees their disadvantage in height, and uses another person (same size or bigger) to appear much taller than their opposition. It’s not common in video games these days-and the first time I saw the pair-I legit went “Ah shhhhhit-there’s two! And the big one won’t stop coming for me!” Very memorable moment in the game.

This video was beautiful, I really enjoyed watching it! McGraw is one of the bosses that annoys me the most, with that way of running away he has, it's hateful, but perhaps for this reason perhaps other Outlaws have been exiled and forced to give him his gang with the sole objective, not to steal, to annoy etc ... but to create an opples business and make money like glukkons? It could be the first case of an outlaws becoming an industrialist ... what an iconic boss fight!

After realizing that you get less if you kill them, I restarted this game and played through the entire thing getting as many live bounties as I could, even the trash mobs. You eventually run out of things to buy with all the money you get.

Going a step further on Meagly's Clakker extermination, the freezer in the farmhouse has 'HELP' written on the window...suggesting he stuck some into the freezer while they are still alive. Christ on a bike!

Definitely the HARDEST and most FRUSTRATING boss for me is (I forgot the name ) the one with the shield and the missiles and I believe a couple big dudes are chasing you too it’s utter CHAOS as a kid i quick saved out of panic over my only save RIGHT BEFORE I died so the whole save file was ruined RIP :,(

Yeah, that guy is really hard! I think it's Packrat Palooka like Will said, but I can't even remember and I only last did that fight about 3 weeks ago LOL. I guess the outlaw himself isn't that memorable, but his fight is definitely, I would say, the hardest in the game. Sorry to hear your save file got ruined. :( I hate it when that happens. I've lost so much progress on games before.

@@pupbenny That save feature they put in this game was both a blessing and a curse. Most of the time I found it helpful to start the game exactly where you left off but like in the Packrat Palooka fight, it ended up biting me in the ass. Like the op said, I did a similar thing. I saved right before one of Palooka's missiles came down on my head, killing me instantly because my health was low. But I somehow managed to dodge it right before the killing blow after many frustrating attempts. I don't know how I did it, I just kept running in different directions each time before the missile struck the ground.

Wonderful video as always pup! I had no idea there was so much info on Meagly and also you may find this shocking and you might even think I'm an idiot for it lol but before watching this video I had no idea that boss enemies had stamina that you had to deplete in order for them to be knocked out, I always just assumed because of how the other enemies work that knocking them out was just getting their health low enough, so when it came to boss battles in order to capture them alive I would just use bolamites if I could and just bounty them within the split second that their tied up. Another detail I'd like to mention about Strangers Wrath is that there is a detail at the Oppal Farm that I always found disturbing is that after Meagly ransacks the place if you go to the freezer you will find the words "Help us" written on the frosted window letting us know that there is or there was clakkerz trapped inside, I think there are two possible reasons over how they got there. 1. Some clakkerz during the attack, perhaps the farmer and/or his family fled into the freezer during the attack to hide (why they didn't just go into their little panic room I don't know maybe they were cut off from it somehow) only for the outlaws to lock the freezer door shut behind them likely just for shits and giggles. 2. the other possibility is that the outlaws are using the freezer to slowly and painfully dispose of any surviving clakkerz that they'd rather just sadistically toy with rather than just shoot. ever since I found this detail I always wished Oddworld Inhabitants implemented a way you could rescue them like what was done with the wagon trains at the beginning of the game, especially since Stranger did say that he's rescue the farmer's daughters.

Tbh I've never really paid attention to the enemy stamina either lol. In fact, only after uploading this video I noticed Tiny also has a stamina bar, which makes me consider whether the 'you can't capture Tiny' idea is actually wrong. Someone in the comments said you actually can capture both of them so I'm gonna try this out. And yeah, those are good theories about the freezer! My assumption has always been that Meagly locked the farmer's daughters up in there, but then I always found it odd that there was seemingly no way to rescue them. I had a false memory of being able to do that years ago, but when I played it for the first time in years I couldn't seem to do it. I think I streamed it and even in the stream (or maybe another time since I played it) I was trying to figure out how to open up that door but I couldn't find a way seemingly. It's really weird.

I have this theory: What if the outlaws were/are in the same situation as the grubbs? Maybe time past they were just another group of natives (well, they would still be on), until the industralists came, and the clakkers started to settle down in their territory. In retalitation, they started to vandalize and terrorize the clakkers, (re)occupying their territory through any means necessary. I also add that the oddworld's wiki define the species as reptilian (well, mammalian/reptilian, but they seem to be mainly reptilian). Reptilians, much like amphibians (which grubbs are classified as), need watery environments to live comfortably by (well, most of them, I think), which adds to the idea that with Sekto bringing the dam and closing the river made them as aggresive as they are. Besides, it would fit within the theme of "everyone is a villain with the right amount of propaganda" that the setting exemplifies with Abe and Munch being labeled as terrorists. Ironically, there are similar undertones between outlaws like Lefty Lugnutz and D. Caste Raider, and Stranger. The first two gave in (according to my theory) and ended up working for the industralists (in Lefty's case, he did until his actions were declared to be illegal by the clakkers), while Stranger did the very same thing (until his species was revealed) But its just that, an odd theory. Edit: I also add that the soundtrack for the battle between Stranger and Lefty is called "Stranger Lives", which may or may not be making an allusion to their similar fate within industralist's society: they worked for them, until the latter found that the two weren't exactly "fit" to follow the rules, industrialists rules.

I was thinking after I uploaded this that it's interesting that Tiny also has a stamina bar. Made me wonder what happens if that goes down completely and whether what I was reading about not being able to capture him was true. I'll try this out.

I don't think you can. I tried but Tiny's stamina regenerates almost immediately, and the only things that get it down are Boombats and Thudslugs from what I can tell. No matter how fast you fire them, it regenerates back to full within seconds. If you could mod it to slow the regeneration, or even reduce reload times perhaps, it might be possible but as the game stands, from what I can tell, I don't think you can capture both of them, but let me know if you find a solution. :) I'm curious.

@@pupbenny you have to use bombs and consistent zapfly, and when you run out of bombs you switch to thudslugs with continued consistent zapfly. If it makes a difference, I did it on the hard difficulty
