Hell yeah, more lore ! Alright so first observations, the main guy is obviously supposed to resemble Rhyolite, with the similar face marking, obsession with soul singing (i think it's called) and overall evilness. He looks like he's studying the singing, and noticed it happened to those who suffer trauma or grieve I think. So to see it again he needs to cause trauma to those around him. He put some poisonous herb in a bird and it kills one who looks somewhat like Hoot and since his plan worked he just does it again. At the end he's plotting the next murder, the cute half and half cat who seemed friend with the Hoot looking one. Then those that could be related to some Ode to Epilogue characters 0:11 seconds in, those two kind of reming me of Mulberry and Sunflower (although purple looks to be female, whereas Sunflower is male iirc) 0:21 could be related to Hoot, similar markings 2:27 baby Rhinestone on the left, then with his father in the middle mourning together That's all I have for now, feel free to tell me if I missed something EDIT: noticed main guy has a strange front right paw, birth defect or injury perhaps ? Also 2:31 he's drawing himself singing EDIT 2: Checked the wiki, so I have a lot of new info now Salmon (main guy, Rhyolite counterpart) is the son of Eryx and Cypress (Calabar and Goathead counterparts), he was abandoned and he met Azurite (grey, torn ear) and Eudialyte (Bicolored, heterochromia, Cinnamon counterpart?, also his crush apparently). Then he nearly gets abandoned again by Azurite for Eudialyte, and Salmon saw it. Then they join the colony, and he's not happy. A couple people die and he sees the song, and he starts obsessing. That's when he starts poisoning people with foxglove to make their loved ones sing. He poisons Mantis (his sibling btw but he doesn't know I think) then one of Azurite's kit and his mate (revenge for almost abandoning him ig) and the two kits of Basalt, a guard. And since he wants to sing himself, he plans to poison Eudialyte, who he loves. I hope I did an okay job summing that up, because I have a hell of a migraine and thinking is hard.

I like the parallels between Rhyolite and Salmon! Rhyolite orders Foxglove to kill Cinnamon, his mate, and in the end Salmon (successfully?) uses a foxglove plant to kill Eudialyte, who he loves. And Salmon was abandoned by Eryx, while Rhyolite was abused by Calabar. Plus the whole obsession they've both got going with soul-singing. I've also kinda got a theory down about the relation between the Epilogue and the Prologue, based on what happens in Ghosts of Utopia, but I think I'll need more evidence for it before putting it forward. Edit: I just realised also that Azurite almost leaves Salmon in the woods in the same way that Calabar almost throws Rhyolite to the void!

There's a wiki with context in the description! But to sum it up, Salmon (main cat) discovers that when someone who is loved dies, the screams of sadness or despair made by their alive loved ones turn into a song that seems to bring out the soul of the mourning cat in question. He becomes obsessed with this odd phenomenon and uses Foxglove (neon green plant / flowers) to then begin poisoning killing off different cats in this colony to make their loved ones sing, including his love interest Eudialyte's crush Mantis (his brother) and his father figure Azurite's partner, Hypercium, which you can see in the frame where he sings with Rhinestone (their son) mourning her death. At the end of the this video he concludes that since he loves Eudialyte so much, killing her would make him able to sing- Hence the drawing of him singing he's making and the look he gives her afterwards.
