You're expert at this. Really F'n good. Not just the concrete, I mean how you do the video. The fast speed conveys all the work without wasting time. The voice over narration is unbelievable. You are a global treasure. Show this comment to your wife.

Back in 1977 I took a year to just work and save money before college. This is exactly what I used to do. Hardest and most satisfying work I've ever done. Only problem was the owner was a total tyrant. He was verbally abusive, always angry and stressed. I saw him grab some guys by the neck a few times. He only seemed to do that to the Mexican workers, the illegals. These were the very guys I strived to keep up with pushing cement filled wheelbarrows through forms and grading. They taught me the art of the shovel and pick. And yes, it's a science and an art. They were the hardest working guys I've ever met. This was back then wheelbarrows only had one wheel, today they have two which helps a lot from tipping. I was doing some light grading in my back yard yesterday prepping to build a fence and I was using those same skills taught to me back then. You are the kind guy that would make it a pleasure to come to work for everyday. If I were working for you back then I might have never wanted to leave for college.

Having this done locally (Oklahoma). Have a couple questions: - In this video, you did 3x3. I'm doing a 4x4 step, what kind of base would you recommend? I saw you use both gravel and sand here. - For a 4x4 step, would you use any reinforcement? - I've heard of people running rod from one step to the other if you want to keep them aligned when they move. Would you recommend this?

@OdellCompleteConcrete
@OdellCompleteConcrete 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the type of fiberglass. Every fiberglass rods can be designed differently. Also the spacing can change everything. I prefer working with the fiberglass. Lighter easier to transport. Once you use fiberglass you'll never want steel again.
