This is so weird, but I enjoyed riding this tram and specifically went there when in Odessa. And the lagoon near the terminus is interesting to see. Maybe for the driver it is easy to not have cars on the tracks, but might be scary in the darkness and when the tram brakes down or runs off the rails which they often do given the general condition of the whole network. Also I was amazed that there are not real tickets, they just collect money and probably earn a second salary?! :)

You always have to ask for a ticket. Otherwise they will earn an extra salary ;-)

@@worldtradesurfer nobody asked for it. And all tram, trolleybus and marshrutka bus drivers just took money and had piles of it. I dont blame them, I suppose their official salary is very low. However, not having tickets also contributes negatively to the poor state of these vehicles. This whole system and corruption reminds me my own country in the 90s. I hope future is better for Ukraine. ;)

Это единственный такой маршрут, на котором направлен худший ПС, поскольку там трава и вагоны ломаются часто, поэтому нормальное пускать нет смысла

The terrible state of tram cars and rails. Money allocated from the budget is stolen. Fare is accepted only in cash. The installation of electronic validators is not beneficial to corruption officials, since everyone will see the real amount of incoming money for travel. And on a city scale this is not a small amount. Trams in the current technical condition in Odessa are an anachronism. This is especially true for trams on route No. 20 that break down almost daily due to poor quality of service. Only two trams operate on a 7 km long route. The frequency of movement is 25-30 minutes. There is no other transport here and when a tram breaks down, 1 bus runs once an hour, and if there is no bus, people go on foot. When it rains and floods the rails, the trams do not go. When the snow falls on the rails, the trams do not go, and the rails do not clean, but wait until it gets warmer and the snow melts. All this happens because it is the farthest route and here, according to the mayor's office and the Department of Transport, there are people who are not worthy of a normal relationship. Tram number 20 - our happiness and sorrow.

Thank you for the text. There is nothing left to add. Greetings from Germany. Despite the poor condition of this line, it was an impressive experience and a little adventure for me as a German to visit this route. It was fun driving the old tatra trams through Odessa. :-)
