Whoever wrote this has a lot of variety in their composure! There's a lot of galactic vibes in this, and then suddenly STEREOTYPICAL SPANISH BULL FIGHTING! Proceeded by more galactic groove. And the mallets and marimba sound quality add to this effect of variety. I love this in so many ways! Well played.

Some people can never be satisfied and you are discouraging people. People make little or no money from music these days, not here or elsewhere so there is a limit to what young people should spend their time and effort on because when they get older they need financial reserves which music does not offer any more. I was extremely impressed by the skill and the piece - my compliments Miroslav. We used to be in the arts; whatever you do there's always someone coming up with clever advice, knowing what to do.

@@hauptmannbalalaika That was a bit of an overreaction. I said this is the BEST performance I have seen of this piece (that statement still stands 2 years later as evidenced by me returning to the video). All I was inferring was that it's a shame that such a top notch performance has meh audio and video. No harm meant :)
@JohnJohn-ir5hw
@JohnJohn-ir5hw 5 жыл бұрын
@@ThatCheapDrummer Well, it's nice that the ladies and gentlemen can share in civilized discourse. Kudos to ThatCheapDrummer for keeping cool, especially since Ally Haup-Gurski's comment is fodder for the Manipulative Turd Regime that attempts to conceal brainwashing and mind-control as SUGGESTION (shame on you Turds). Regarding ThatCheapDrummer's sound quality comment: it is very relevant because within the first minute of this excellent performer's video, I found myself DISCOURAGED because I had to turn the volume down and back up, and down again, and back up. The HARSH attack of the mallets-on-bars hurt my ears...then, it didn't...then it did. THAT is the PERFORMER'S choices/preferences regarding INTERPRETATION of the COMPOSER'S written information, and I am not and will not pretend that me judging the performer's choices is just, warranted, valuable, or anything other than something personal to me. But... it's my right to make such observations, and it's anyone's right to make any SUGGESTIONS regarding the presentation. So, CONTRARY to Ally's manipulative comment, it is the PERFORMANCE/RECORDING that DISCOURAGED this listener. ThatCheapDrummer's comment actually ENCOURAGED me. Christ...hey... (oh, yeah...did I mention that I think the marimbist is a really skilled one?).

I already do that. My 4 mallet callouses are half the thickness of my finger (from Stevens grip). I try to use my left hand as much as I can in everyday life to work it.

it shouldnt be that thick. you sound you need to lighten up. A lot. being relaxed is the key to playing loud and fast. It's also the key to not hurting yourself
