Same! In Return was my introduction to ODESZA back in late 2014, early 2015. Then I found Summer's Gone. I had Odesza on repeat for the majority of my life back then. Still visit every once in awhile, on KZbin, just to stumble on relatable comments like these. Hope you find yourself well!

I can hear no one by alicia keys, this song is like an immaculate coincidence for me... its like they knew somehow what i felt in that song... i cried to that song by alicia keys at 7 years old when my best friend moved back to ohio after her dad passed away, and i knew that no one could ever understand how much i cared and how i felt. they asked me why i was crying and i told them that they would never understand... this song is about letting go for me... which is precisely why i cried those tears... the realization that i would never see her again and realizing my powerlessness in this world, and becoming overcome with emotion feeling it come in and out like the sounds of this wonderfully beautiful song

My favorite thing about the first and second album is not knowing the lyrics and the lyrics on websites not being of any help either. I'll have to give the third album another listen, because I just don't feel anything from it. I feel as though I'm not able to appreciate it because half of the sounds are too familiar. It's not their fault though. Maybe I could just get back into listen to the music of languages foreign to me or maybe I expected each album to follow what was explained in the very first track of this one.
