Probably because half the album was just copy&paste. Not their best imo and hopefully this new album makes up for it. The Bronson side project was better than The Last Goodbye and even that's saying something.

Although AMA set a high boundary for innovation, TLG is enjoyable in its own way. The 'instrumentals only' part of the album especially is incredible ( North Garden, All My Life, Behind the Sun, Healing Grid, I Can't Sleep , etc., are all classic ODESZA genre bending songs )

AMA was far better than TLG and the fact that they're able to already crank out another album so soon has me guessing it's going to just be TLG 2.0. The handful of decent songs on TLG don't make up for the lack of substance in the rest of the album.

My absolute favorite part of this song is the use of the feminine-like voice notes that cut in and out. Odesza does this all the time in their songs which is why I love them. Its almost as if its up to you to interpret what that "voice" is saying - its magical. The drop at 1:17 onward is f**** amazing.
