When i first pulled the Odin i mostly only had tier 4 and 5 ships so the Odin bumped me up to tier 7 and i was trash at the time but got so many insane games it made the Odin #1 in my heart. i got good at higher tiers through the odin and i appreciate that ship more than any of em, and ive got quite the collection now. The odin is usualy the first ship i take out when i play too, cant go wrong with it man.

Someone down below suggested something quite unique, original and brilliant. An entire video of SpartanElite43 getting blasted from a match (or close to it) after doing something dumb.... a "not-so-great greatest hits" This would be amazing to watch and a lovely reminder that even a content creator can have many moments of being an egghead out there.

Gotta love how the Iowa had a golden opportunity to cut the monarch off and get its broadside but decided to instead sail around an island so that he could sit directly next to the other friendly BB and bow tank the monarch. A major problem with BB players as a whole is that they’re scared to spread out from each other.

Oh man, I SUPER LOVE the Odin, I have Henry J. Hide and put him on the Odin. For me, I would put Jaujard and AL Colorado (or Iachino/AL Schrnohorst/Cunningham) as inspirations, that way you can get accuracy, main gun reload, and AP shell penetration so that cruisers would have a hard time beating that ship.

I am intrigued by the Odin always seems to be a bit of a beast when up against it. Love the way you cycled them guns. And am convinced, I will have it one day. Keep up the brilliant work Spartan.

Odin is arguably one of the STUPIDEST Battleships you can run. A 14 second reload if you run brawler is MENTAL with 305s. Odin is like Money printer Scharnhorst on heroine

Add to the epic modification on the 4th upgrade slot, put the Brawler skill on any brawler BB commander and inspirations that focus on main gun reload for BBs, then Odin will get cruiser-grade reload time.

Play the Odin like a Super Cruiser and use Hyde for Alidad (+8% better angles) with Jaujard (+5% AP penetration) & Cunningham (+4.5% grouping) or Arthas for 20% more damage as Inspirations. Use the Odin to bully caps, and crushing cruisers & dd's foolish enough to contend a cap with you. The Odin is Rediculously good & fun.

There is nothing wrong with the Brandenburg...that may get your attention, or not.... I've played enough games in it to say that the ship is excellent...it's the best secondary ship at Tier 7, and that's what it's generally designed to be. The main guns, all 12 of 'em...are fine enough to get the job done. Is Odin's main guns better? Yes. They have to be because the main guns are it's bread & butter out there along with its torpedos. The Ofin's secondaries aren't bad at all but they sure as shit ain't the Brandenburg's secondaries because they're not supposed to be. Spartan says anyone who finds fault with the Odin, performance-wise has a skill issue...ok...I can accept that. but....(you knew this was coming) there's a flip-side to that coin, and that means anyone who has criticism about the Brandenburg can have a skill issue, as well. I said it. There it is. Put in on the board, babydoll...I ain't taking it back. Ya can't have it just one way...that's dishonesty, it can also be a wee-bit of confirmation bias, in other words....it's fallacious reasoning and that never leads to truth. So maybe Spartan has a skill issue with Brandenburg. Let that possibility sink in for a moment...It's not an unreasonable conclusion to consider and here is why... This game has, I think over 500 ships, right? Right. Not every player can be great or comfy-cozy in every one of those 500 ships...not even SpartanElite43. He plays the ships that he likes the most, he has the builds he prefers, and the play style that he will utilize because that is what feeds this channel and cultivates his in-game expertise. He refines his craft with the tools of which he is most familiar, nothing wrong with that at all...i do it, we all do it in various respects. We are at our core, creatures of our habits. What is wrong-ish is to claim a ship is poor because ya don't get what you want out of it without acknowledging that it also could be you...some creators in KZbin can do that, while others struggle with that concept. I bet Brandenburg like all ships has a world record in damage...that means someone mastered the ship at such a high level that a standard was set and I'll bet that player, whoever it may be, has had multiple great games in the Brandenburg and is quite capable of sending you the reader, myself, and SpartanElite43 to Davey Jones Locker regardless of the ship we are in. Why? There is always a bigger, better, more clever, skilled fish in the high seas than ourselves. That's why. What is trash to one player can easily be Thor's hammer to another. ....or like I always say, if ya think a ship is truly bad, give Metajerk the keys and we'll see how bad the ship really is because that man can get a Kraken commanding a leaky rowboat, but i digress...until the next video. If one excels at Brandenburg and not so much in the Odin (i have and love both) it may be a skill issue but it may simply be a play style preference and that's not a skill issue, it's a preference and yes, there can be a reasonable difference between skill and preference and that, in my experience, is this game's Da Vinci Code.

man i wish they would give more xp to secondaries than planes. both are automatic but getting a lot of secondary damage and surviving should be more rewarding than being picked on by the carrier

I usually don’t take my time with this type or nonsense but I had some spare time. I am ANOMALY the Jean Bart, your commentary is astoundingly ridiculous. Now you did eventually notice the obvious. The Bart has alpha secondaries in the back as you could see the 90 something splash’s around him all from my secondary. I wasn’t running from the from the Friesland I was turning to dodge the full barrage from the cruiser and to target him as I did manage to dodge most from the cruiser. I can appreciate that you’re making content for newer players. Also some of what you’re saying isn’t wrong but not really correct. There are a lot of benefits to using H.E shells I am sure you are aware of. Also a lot of your criticism is based around your gameplay and not the entire situation. H.E is a huge benefit for support breaking secondaries, torpedo tubes,causing fires, destroying AA, setting up for flooding. DOT is underrated. Also I am curious why you didn’t target the Friesland? This is a team game and you will have more and better games playing it as such instead of assuming you’re the best player a lot of success is set up by those you was criticizing. I understand you have some experience but not nearly as much as I do in this game you should be starting to get to the point that you realize it’s impossible to know everyone’s situation and most is based on luck. Which the friesland after that match should have went and played the lottery with that much luck not to have been hit at all by all my secondary’s as I turned to get the loaded secondaries to target him also while dodging a lot of fire. Good luck in your games and remember most of this game is based on luck, RNG,what your teammates do, what the opposition is doing. But mostly RNG’s decision.

Heya Spartan, Old Guy Gaming Network here, I created a new account for naming purposes...long story. Question, when showing your secondary build battleships you use the Anime commander as one of the inspirations for extended secondary ranges. I was not playing when she was available so I wonder if she comes up for sale from time to time so I can get her in the future. Lastly, where did you get your channel logo? I am looking to get one for a channel I am going to start based around Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 coming out in November.

I honestly don't like Odin that much and Scharny is the same way. While both CAN be nasty, they usually end up just getting mediocre damage like my average in both are about 85k damage which is pretty bad for a battleship and I just don't find them very fun.

Odin is good, but bad at the same time. You had a great game when 4 battleships all gave you flat broadsides. You should play like 3-5 games, show your best vid, but then average out all the stats from the 5 games. I almost bet that even with a 170k damage game the average damage wouldve been around 90-110k damage. Arguably, overall, the brandenburg is the better ship. Has more carry potential to it than the odin does. My last brandenburg game i had to rush in. Ended up with a kraken and around 130k damage in 7 minutes timeframe, and i only fire AP out of my brandenburg, outside of bow-tanking battleships. It's a great game in the odin for sure, but one game only tells 1 chapter to a book

Aside from the flandre in their tiers at least as far as I know, point is that Friesland was lucky to survive at those ranges. Any hat holder can watch this and see that.
