It's using real knives which is okay if we're talking about Halloween night where you're just standing around and looking menacing but if we're talking conventions, festivals, Halloween parties and more? You're basically wielding a murder weapon. With foam and plastic, it's much more lightweight, it has the same cool effect and you can carry it at a con.

I used to build these things on the regular starting back in high-school. I used to use galvanized sheet-metal flashing, because getting sheet-copper n my home town in anything other than industrial-sized sheets was next to impossible. Looks like you made yourself a combination-glove that has elements of the original design, along with the messy solder-blobs that could be found on the gloves from parts 5 and 6. From parts 3 and onward, a different glove was built for each film, as the original was lost during the filming of Freddy's Revenge. Those newer gloves all used brass back-plates, and brass for the finger-rings, along with the copper fingers. I have some sheet brass and sheet copper that I've had for quite a while, but I need to actually get around to constructing a new glove for myself. I love the aging techniques you used for the leather glove, and I'll remember those tips when I finally build my next one. Well done. Looks great, moves great, and its convention-safe. Another excellent build all-around :) Thanks!

awww odin once again u smashed it mate , i can happily say i used ure pattern to create this glove, i used copper all round even for the knives, it came out banging, i used hot glue to attach the blades and not only did it hold but it gave the instant weald seam, u are the don for props keep em coming ...

Brilliant project. I made one back in the 90's with metal blades. I weathered the glove by rubbing it on the concrete paving where I was building the glove. The bad ol days before you could jump on the internet and find cool videos like this and discover awesome building weathering techniques. Love your channel, thanks for the great content.
