Norse mythology, the source of most surviving information about him, associates him with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, war, battle, victory, sorcery, poetry, frenzy, and the runic alphabet, and depicts him as the husband of the goddess Frigg.

Someone should feed those ravens, because they're hungry. The reason why ravens are associated with so many deities (both in European and in Native American beliefs but also in the Old Testament) is because they're clever and inquisitive birds, and hang around battlefields and places of sacrifice looking for food. If you do meet an old, bearded man accompanied by ravens he might be Odin, or he might be the prophet Elijah but either way it pays to listen to him, and maybe offer to feed his ravens...they are particularly fond of raw hamburger that's gone a bit off.

Good to know. I appreciate the knowledge. I very much want to know things crows and ravens like to eat. I love how Odin still comes down to Midgard. I fed a crow that was crying for help from me and my husband. He knows the signs of a starving crow and they made sure to be right in front of our car. And I could sense it was hungry when cawing as well. We were in the process of getting a meal so I shared some chicken nuggets and fries and he took it all and flew off after a few minutes. Apparently they have small stomachs and don't need much so he went off with it to share with his family it seems. But I would definitely always feed a hungry animal as long as I knew it was safe.

Here in Northern New England, the Abenaki have a sort of demi-god called Gluskabe (the Mi'kmaq version of his name). Rather than ravens, Gluskabe has loons which fly around and report to Gluskabe on the doings of man. When one hears the cry of the loon, it is said they are reporting to Gluskabe. It is theorized that this concept may have actually been a Norse borrowing into Northern New England native traditions from the interaction between the Norse and Native people in this area. Odin's ravens reporting to him on the doings of man. This area is thought to possibly be the "Vinland" of Norse sagas, so interaction was possible.

After receiving what I strongly thought was repeated signs from Odin I began my journey into Norse Polytheism. More often than not I felt like I was following the right path. Started to hit some pretty overwhelming bumps in the road. We lost our home and hit some rough spots in our marriage and soon came the talks of separation. I found myself feeling further and further from our All Father. I stumbled across this video out of nowhere. I wasn't sure if I should read it as a sign or coincidence. Let me tell you something. You may not always feel him. But our All Father is always there when you need his strength and wisdom the most. I completed my first successful meditation with this and I had my first ever outer body experience. I was neither here, nor was I there. I was lost but yet i knew the way. I seen far greater things on that journey than i have seen on any acid or shroom trip. I believe Odin and Frigg showed me the path I must walk for my family. Odin! Great Father! Grant me strength as mighty as your wisdom! And may my sword be ever sharp!

Felt an immediate connection to him and a pull and I was like, nope dude, I got shit to do. Maybe later. Lol. But now that I know this brings that connection and that invokes a journey when open, I will definitely use this for that when it's a good time. If Odin wants to chat, I would love to. The second time I played it, I just felt his energy being very passive in the background. Felt like I may have had some aid in my task. At least to relax. I hope your journey was safe and well. 🙏💚
