very good information. enjoyed that slow motion at the end very cool. i imagine if you did not tighten those bolts it would not be good if they came loose and the fly wheel flew out of there. i been looking at one of these myself.

Hey buddy! Yep, I wouldn't want to be around it of it did let go. Do you see any reason you couldn't use loctite? I've been pleased with the chipper and it is a reasonable price.
@daveknowshow4 жыл бұрын
@@ODLife I see no reason why locktite could not be used. however I would call the mfg and ask them. there may be a reason.

Thanks for the chipper maintenance info, Garrett. I considered a chipper on several ocassions. I'd like to get a used diesel running chipper if I can find one locally that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Hurricane Isaisis created a lot of tree debris clean-up work here. Did you get slammed? Thanks again and have a fine week. Full-watch. 👍🏽🙂.

Nothing from Isaisa here. I'm liking having the chipper to use the chips for mulch. Always storm cleanup, dead falls, and pruning to do yearly. If you come across a diesel one, Im sure you would be able to do a lot more than just branches. Would be nice to have. Keep up your rehab buddy!

Great info- but if u feel like u gotta bail 60 seconds in,- just go to settings and put it on 1.5x speed. Pefect that way- enjoy!

Nice looking chipper. I need one of those. Thought you have a 25D not a 23S?
@ODLife4 жыл бұрын
It is a 25D. I've been happy with the chipper. I think its still in my Amazon store. Link in description. Funny I'm actually watching your mower video now. That first picture of a tractor on its side looked familiar.

@@ODLife LOL got those pics from google haha. I saw BX23S in your title thats why I asked, didn't know if you trading in for a new model.
@ODLife4 жыл бұрын
@@KubotaMonsterBX23S oh crazy, autocorrect must have changed it (or I had a brainfart). Anyway, the BX42s is the chipper.

If it was sagging wouldn't all 4 blades hit? I think its more likely that your rotor has some "runout" or wobble. To verify mount a dial indicator or even a straight edge to the housing and rotate the flywheel to check if the clearance gets bigger at some point. I would be interested in knowing if that's the problem. Nice videos by the way

What is your stationary blade gap set at?
@ODLife4 жыл бұрын
Eye balled 1/32.
@ODLife4 жыл бұрын
For at least 1 blade, remaining blades were bigger. I should have checked after tightening bolts.

I don’t like to look at 3 pictures on the screen. It makes it unsteady.
