ODORS that REEK of the 1970s. It SMELLS like the 70s with Lincoln Logs, Macramé, Charlie Perfume, Old Spice, Wicker, and Fondue. Memorable Scents and Aromas that define the 70s and you don't want to forget. Skin So Soft and Tupperware make up so much of the STINK that stank the greatest Generation during the 1980s.

Born in the late 60s so this was my childhood. We had the tupperware I remember those salt n pepper shakers from our table , the drink tumblers. Mom had the wicker chair and patio furniture. Lincoln Logs ,, dude , I love ya man that made me smile ... here's a scent that was really common in our house for as far back as my memory goes , Rose Milk hand lotion. Great episode !

I realize Windsong is from the 50s but that didnt keep a lot of women, including my mother from hosing themselves down with it in the 70s. Gag. I didnt think any perfume could be worse until in the 80s my mom switched to Giorgio. Way worse. Obnoxious. I miss how new comic books smelled back then. And hot cashews at the local pharmacy snack bar. And the Swanson fried chicken meals. And scratch and sniff stickered plastic necklaces. And rubber finger puppets. And Color Forms. And Fresca. And Hawaiian Tropic. And Mr Bubble Bubble Bath and Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific shampoo!! And the yeast rolls on school lunch trays and I seriously could go on way longer than anyone wants me to. I was born in '69 so the 70s was a world of absolute wonder and excitement to me. The 70s and 90s so far are my two favorite decades and I would take either one back gladly!

The scented Strawberry Shortcake line of dolls and figures actually started in 1979. My sister says hers still smell fruity! And I still have some of my grade school scratch-n-sniff stickers from the 70's and they're just as strong today as they were then! I have a soft spot for bus fumes. Yes, SS may have started in 70s, but I think her heyday is the 80s...so I included her there. Scratch n Sniff were in both 70s and 80s, but since sticker books and trading were more popular in the 80s, I put them there. I would have never guessed some still had their scent. What I did forget was play do in this one, for sure.

Mr. Bubble bubble bath! what about certain scents from your local mall??? the water fountain certainly had its own scent. Old shops like candle stores (Candles N' Such)... local department store that either roasted nuts or made candies... Woolworth smelling part store/part restaurant (Harvest House)... can't forget Orange Julius either. Off hand i remember my mom wearing either Odalisque or Wind Song perfume at the time and my dad wearing Aramis cologne... sometimes Aqua Velva. Though i think the BiG one then was *Brut 33*..... X-D

The liquid plastic that you squeezed out of a tube... you placed a glob of it on a special straw and then blew a psychedelic, swirly colored bubble.
