On this episode of Odysseus Chronicles, our hero was shocked to see the Galatic War made its way to Earth and left the only place to call home, a ravaged land devoid of any safety or hope of recovery. The unknown shuttle seen moments before, attempting to land at Central Command failed - imploding in a show of lights that shot into the dark skies like a cosmic geyser. With the deafening explosion and lights, shrieks could be heard far off in the distance. Faint at first, but growing louder and ever closer paired with beady eye-shaped lights and enormous outlines. Our hero remembered hearing of these legends from the Galatic tour and thought "These were only used during initial sieges...was the war just beginning? Was it already too late? What is going on!? The way the cities. No. The way the world is, these things must have been left to finish off survivors...War Beasts." Trying to shake the thought, a hasty run was made for the ship. "No time for a safety harness or checks, just have to go!" said the hero. And off into low orbit the ship flew to the sun bathed side of the Earth, where the dunes and the pyramids were seen beneath. "Oh I remember these, I read the ancients built these to- A sudden rumble rocked the ship and broke the train of thought. Cold sweat rapidly made its way from the temples down to the heroes eyebrows. Core tightening and eyes darting wildly to identify what the ship's sensors could not. The suns rays disappeared from the side of the Earth that was bathing in it just seconds ago. But not a cloud was in sight. The hero had the urge to turn slowly and there, before the ship, stood a towering Sphinx large enough to block the sun. *Odysseus Chronicles Chapter 4: Pyramids and Peril*

@Gordon Christopher That's a great thought! Often times, it's just out of scope for the product+genre being delivered to the audience. Pairing two different mediums (music+stories) can be difficult since some may favor it greatly and some like either-or just not both together. Music can carry its own story and let the imagination go free, while a story has its concept in the lines and the music has to complement it just right (silly example, but try imagining a high intensity action sequence from a novel you've read and pair it with a soundtrack that just doesn't stick). That's just my take on it. Edit: compliment --> complement*, is --> it*

I think (and could be wrong) that they are sending their tracks to Ody to be featured, and it's a great way to get their name and music noticed, by having their tracks on a high profile YT channel like this. I think the idea is a lot of people will look at the tracklist and follow the songs they like back to the source (eg: originating artist).

Hey Odysseus, I just wanted to thank you sincerely for still posting new mixes. This one in particular brought me back to my school mentality a few years back. Tonight and these past few months, I've seem to just be getting worse and worse at focussing in school and having the discipline to get homework done on time. This mix reminds me of when I used to be able to pull 4:00-9:00 no problem, back when 9:00 was considered late for me. Now I'm required to go 3:00-11/1:30 depending on how earlier I start, and all because my time management has gotten so much worse. Thanks for reminding me of that feeling of accomplishment academically. 🤍😊 Also one of my favorite mixes of yours is Stargate and Synthcity if you remember those ones. Synthcity was what I always seemed to end on at my desk, and Stargate has like one of my most favorite opening songs. Also, if you remember them, the classic trance mixes were fun to listen to driving around, particularly Exotic.

They say the pyramids lay far beyond the city of Astra. A couple miles away from the city entrance is a desert filled with swamps, patches of quicksand and rough terrain meaning no land vehicle can pass. Looming close to them is a constant raging storm with winds that are too strong so you can't travel by ship or with a cruiser. The only way you can travel to the pyramids is on foot. But that brings up whole new dangers. Ex civilians cast out of Astra armed to the teeth with weapons, current civilians of Astra who roam the deserts at night hunting other humans for fun not caring who they kill and then people bred outside the walls of Astra, some say that their bodies can withstand the heat of a thousand suns. None of these threats scare me. I put on my desert coat, grab my mask to protect my face from sand storms and mount my WHX7 Rifle. Nobody can stop me. I will be the first to see that ethereal place of eternal beauty...
