There's a story behind everything... (long caption warning but it's rested on my ❤) I had shot half the season of #OdysseyWithYendi #UntoldJourneys Season 2 and had to pause.... The day I shot this sit down with Usain Bolt, was the first I was getting back to work after a serious health scare. What you see here is pure gratitude to have life and purpose. I was diagnosed with a heart condition a year ago and it's changed a lot for me. Only last month, I faced something that complicated that condition and brought my own mortality to the fore. It was a lot to digest. I was unwell for weeks, but did everything in my power to enable my body to fight. I'm still experiencing quite a lot of discomfort related to the condition, and pains throughout my body (and yes shifting a lot in my seat to alleviate same) but pushing forward is what we do, the best way we can. I have always had a passion for what I do, and the fragility of life has never been lost on me, but let me tell you that I am working with a ZEAL like never before!!! My fervour is palpable! When I sat with Stacey Hines on #BeautyInTheAshes she said "Don't Die With Music Left In You"..... On the heels of losing 2 family members within the past week... BE KIND TO YOURSELF. BE KIND TO OTHERS. TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. LIVE OUT LOUD. PURSUE YOUR PASSIONS. DO EVERYTHING THAT SETS YOUR SOUL ON FIRE. DON'T DIE WITH MUSIC LEFT IN YOU! PUT YOUR ALL INTO LIVING THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE!! TELL PEOPLE YOU LOVE THEM. SHOW UP FOR YOURSELF. SHOW UP WHEN IT MATTERS MOST. DO EVERYTHING WITH LOVE! LEAD WITH LOVE!! Sending each and every one of you copious amounts of love and positive energy, as we navigate a very strange time in history. This space is for positive change and inspiration. And I pray each of you are inspired by #OdysseyWithYendi. ❤

I think it’s the Jamaican’s who don’t travel who don’t understand the magnitude of Usain’s brand in the world, but the ones of us who do travel really do get it; it’s unfortunate that it is this way. I am honored and grateful that he is our wonderful ambassador may he continue to be humble and blessed🙏🏾

Awesome interview. Appreciative of everything that comes out of this inspiring encounter. Bless up to you Yendi and also Bolt in all your endeavours. I didn't intend to watch the entire package at one sitting because of other things to do. However, the compulsion was great, as I was stuck to the end listening, enjoying and wondering, after all, and even anticipating more, looking for more and more at the end. That's indeed how powerful of grabbing my attention was. Thanks a lot for bringing out that time line!!!

Bob Marley has put us on the map with music and Usain Bolt did it with track and field and his personality. Everywhere I travel to and I speak or mention where I am from, the main two people foreigners mentioned were.Bob and Usain. They are our symbols to di Worl'. I am hapoy to see Usain healing from people's harsh words. Love and light.

Yendi! Usain has a woman and a baby daughter. Settle yourself, you made sure your skirt is SUPER SHORT & you can't keep your legs closed long enough. You're almost giving Usain signals that you want him. Girl have more respect for yourself. You have not worn such a short outfit for other male interviewees. You still have a long way to go to become a professional interviewer. USAIN you have done a lot for our Country. Maximum RESPECT. CONGRATULATIONS for your achievements.

More time I binge watch races, just to mentally reconstruct how much effort/preparation it takes to function like clockwork, a fully oiled machine, entertaining while achieving goals and use that as drive to keep going at life. True inspiration big boss. Keep doing your thing Yendi, bringing these untold stories to light. Love the movement.
