I'm totally jealous you Brits had this show growing up. Jealous you have such an amazing history. It's so awesome to see the public so interested in their ancestors and the past! Here in the US people couldn't care less about our archeology. It doesn’t help that so much of it has been bulldozed and covered up, meaning hidden from us...stolen by the Smithsonian.

The 1990's was the high water mark, in the states. They ended bad and we've been going down every since. Shows like Time team support this idea. There's been very little original series ever since.
