What made them unique is that they all had the same beliefs and actually worked together as a whole

There was some interesting stuff here, but I cannot escape the conclusion that the title was clickbait; almost none of this was about the causes of the Roman Empire collapsing. Suggesting that it has never collapsed because Christianity persists, let alone because others have sought to imitate Rome ever since, is mere sophistry. A state entity and a religion or an idea are incomparable things - what people mean by 'Roman Empire' is the state entity. Furthermore, I'm not sure I buy what seems to be part of the central idea of the film, namely that the main thing about Rome was the aspiration to an empire without limit. I think that they did realise they had boundaries long before Hadrian, and they certainly did recognise the legitimacy of the existence of other state entities that they dealt with as allies or treaty parties (Numidia, Pergamon, etc.) before they ended up absorbing them in various ways. They gave up, in practice, on conquering most of Germania around the beginning of the Empire. Of course, they did find expansion to be desirable and laudable, but so do all empires - it is *not* trying to conquer other people that is the novel concept. And while it's true that Rome eventually became the symbol of a universal, or at least all-Western, empire in the West, I don't think that it was ever as self-consciously and deliberately universalising as Christianity. On the famous Tacitus quote, I sympathise with its drift, but he lays these words in the mouth of a barbarian rebel, and it was customary for historians in Antiquity to invent speeches that historical figures plausibly could have made in view of their circumstances - they do not at all mean that the historian himself agrees with the message of the speech. It would be nice if we could find a fellow anti-imperialist, pacifist and internationalist humanist in at least one Roman author, but this quote is, sadly, not strong evidence for that. And finally, I don't get why she insists on pronouncing Trier as Tree-air, that's not how it's pronounced in German or in English.

It wasnt when he was wounded it was when his army was returning home on him... he said "see not one part of my body isnt marked by sword, spear or Rock I bleed not ichor" meaning blood of the Gods Only because at this point his entire army was turning back over fataige etc. We can only spectulate if he believed that or it was just a last desperation tatic

6:15 🤨 Why is there no evidence? In the bible it states that the criminals were thrown into the fires of Gehenna; the burning trash pit outside of the city. Their names wouldn't be recorded through death so they were to be "forgotten" but Jesus said that even in the fires of Gehenna his father would remember their names. To date there have only been 4 recorded cases of crucifixion. A burial in Jerusalem, a tomb in Venice Northern Italy, one in Egypt, and my local, 10 minutes up tge road - Fenstanton in Cambridge, England [UK].

Truth, no joke. My friend bought a deck of tarot cards back in the day and we sat and he gave us readings. For some, they came true. Then came Dave's turn and he got one of death. A few weeks later he died. My friend said he burned them one by one after that. He stated he heard every card scream

In my faith, the date of Christmas is less important than the annual ritual itself. The location of Sinai is less important than the pilgrimage itself.

My mom cut out an article about a Queen Tiye and put it in my baby book. She always thought it was funny I LOVED Egyptology. My name is Tia. I like her spelling better. I was born exactly a year after her tomb was found. Just kind of funny and ironic. My mom swore there was some tie. lol. She was funny and superstitious. I like the idea though.

if the asian chick who did the adblocker commercial wanted to be famous and respected, then she should have made an onlyfans site to appease people for a respectable cause instead of making false propaganda advertising videos to get us to buy dumb fake services. She whored herself for the dumb ad and should be whored out equally in pornographic films to complete her goals of being whored out to the masses

Old wooden vessels probably suffering from worm atack has always been a problem. SO an old boat is best used as a retaining wall.
