Shouldn't I ask patient her name first? Is it appropriate to ask how may I address you ?
@banfieldsprofessionalmedic84023 жыл бұрын
Yes, you may ask how the patient wants to be addressed at the start of the interview, OR you may ask the interlocutor during the 3monite prep time and simply begin using it during the introduction.

I think the phrase "Recently, i have been having some problem falling asleep." is grammatically wrong. We cannot use "ing" form of the word "have" , if the intended meaning of that word is to possess". Instead of 'ing ' form of 'have' we could use 'experiencing'. Please clarify..
@banfieldsprofessionalmedic84022 жыл бұрын
Hello @Rajesh, "I have been having problems with..." is grammatically correct. This form is called the "present perfect progressive" (have/has + been + -ing form of the main verb), used to discuss events that started in the past and continue up until now still. "Have" is also an unusual verb - it is both a main verb ("I have a headache") and an auxilliary or helping verb used to form perfect tenses ("I have taken my medication correctly"; "I have been experiencing OR having pain for several months".) While "I have been having..." might sound and look a bit odd, it is 100% correct grammar. ...Although, to be absolutely correct, it should better be :"I have been having some problems falling asleep...". Hope this helps!
