22:53 - Ugosimba. Red cap for a woman? 🤔 Na wa o. This is the first time I'm seeing such in Igboland.

Given Uche Ekwunife's relative youth, I think this is all part of the politics of irreverence and the admixture of omenana and Euro-Christian traditions burdening Igboland today. I hope it ends well, but I don't see it. In the first place, Igwe MacAnthony Okonkwo himself is a walking abomination - so it's no surprise that he is continuing the craziness he represents. His father is still alive for crying out loud. Who agrees to become monarch over his living father? It is reminiscent of Absalom in Scripture - too much exuberance and too little wisdom. The ancestors of the Alor people must be wondering what's going on over there on earth.

You either don't know your Igbo culture or you are too ignorant

You don't know that Igbo titles are given to men and women who have done great things and made contributions to a town. Do your research and find how much contributions this woman did to Alor

@@RoM-po5md that's in ur on community, where I come from in Igboland we give women tittle but not with red cap 🧢

@@nnamdiohanusi6046 I see what you mean. So your problem is the red cap? Is the RED CAP not a symbol of the recognition rather than gender recognition? I could be wrong in my understanding of the red cap symbolism. When my father received his title in the 1980s, he received a red hat and 2 eagle feathers, my mother received a red hat of a woman design. As you said, maybe there is not "One Igbo Culture" but many Igbo cultures? We learn every day from each other...the beauty of the connected world
