I saw this play about 6 years ago when it premiered at the Arena Stage in D.c. It needed a ton of work then. so I'm hoping it's since grown. I also love the playwright Katori Hall, as she's one of my faves. So often Black and POC shows do not get reviewed or spotlighted, so Thanks for the review.

Looks like they did the work! I really enjoyed it, and hopefully the New York run will give it the exposure it needs to be licensed at smaller regional theaters.

I just saw it at Lincoln Center and very much enjoyed it. The actors performed well.

Hope you will do a review of Operation Mincemeat when it comes for its limited run (March 20-June 15 2025) where Stereophonic is playing, hear its done very well on West End and can't wait to see what you will think of it.

I saw it in London a couple years back in an intimate theater. I loved it. I'm looking forward to seeing it again. It's more of an Off Broadway kind of show, but judging from "Oh Mary!"'s success I think it can do well on Broadway.

How do you keep getting these AWESOME outros individualized for each episode? IS it AI? It really is so cool and delightful (I probs won't be seeing this show cause it doesn't sound up my alley but appreciate your review)

Yup! It's AI! And I'm so glad that you're watching to the end for that little bonus. I use the same lyric and have AI set it to different styles of music. The one exception is A Beautiful Noise which I recorded myself to a karaoke track. The hardest styles for AI to imitate is traditional musical comedy. Any time I review a Sondheim show I know it's going to be a challenge to get a song in his style.
