Great video. Any advice on how to pedal when the off camber portion of the trail is going up hill? I keep scrubbing my inside pedal ( seat all the way up) due to the slant going right to left. Drop off on the left and edge from trail cut out in the right.

What is the point of turning your front wheel on a jump? Just for style or is it necessary in some situations? I’ve only been mtn bike riding 3 years and I’m in my mid 50’s so I’m in for having fun and learning but not about doing unnecessary stuff that might cause a crash.

It's very much functional! If you *only* turn your bars, that won't do anything useful. But if you turn your bars and commit your shoulders/body/bike, you can move your bike in the air. This can be really useful when the jump is hipped (then you can set your bike up for the landing) and when there is a tight turn immediately following the jump; then you can set up for the turn better while you're in the air.

Can you explain the situation where the pre-turn is needed for off camber turns? It wasnt clear in this vid.
@Fluidride3 жыл бұрын
In this turn it becomes possible to turn on the flat ground prior to the off camber, making the off camber way easier to navigate, since most of the turn is then done by that point. The pre turn allows the turn to start earlier basically. Hope this helps! -Simon

Why would you not make it as large as a garbage pail?

hold on now, from this angle, this turn looks pretty flat, can someone tell me what makes this turn off-camber?
