He missed a really good one. At the strip club where you trigger the scene of Andrew Ryan punishing Jasmine, ordinarily you get to a locked door and see shadows moving around. It's not until the scene finishes playing it unlocks. If you clip through the door you can see they actually made the shadow by taking two sander Cohen models and making them dance. It was really bizarre
@samshaw70874 жыл бұрын
Fun fact: if you crouch into a corner near it, you are able to see the outline of this model and even kill him! Killing him here does not affect the game later on, as he appeared normally as he should at the end of the chapter.

Wait... Text in a book you wouldn't normally be able to see very well.....still with French text in it....about a doctrine of a religious cult. Comstock led a religious cult in Columbia. Elizabeth had a deep love for Paris. Tiny little connections between games even way back in the beginning. That's honestly amazing. Even if it wasn't intentional, that's still incredible to think about. The amount of foresight the team put into where the series was gonna go is just astounding to me.

According to the Bioshock Wiki, only three characters in the original game actually have unique character models- Sander Cohen, Andrew Ryan, and Fontaine’s boss form. Tenenbaum was originally supposed to have a character model but budget constraints kept them from making one (this was rectified in Bioshock 2). Several characters were actually made with modified splicer models, including Atlas, probably in large part because they aren’t clearly visible in the main game. Atlas and Tenenbaum are both only seen at an extreme distance, and Steinman’s face is concealed by a mask. From a developer perspective it probably seemed more practical to focus on the ones you actually come face-to-face with.

I like Bioshock 2 as well, and it is my favorite among the franchise. For one thing, it does not have three install and then your purchase is null and void. the other is that it appeals to my protective instincts and I always found the Little Sisters too cute to harvest. Plus, BSh2 has a suprisingly good MP, on the old version isntead of the remaster, that despite the "genetically modified mutants fight each other in a Dieselpunk underwater city" type of set up for the MP, the weapons and powers are more skill based then luck based ala newer COds or Overwatched. the funny thing that comes to mind regarding that comparison, Bioshock 2, a game with bio mutants, did ice powers in multiplayer better then Overwatched. Winterblast makes your foe slow when not fully charged, while it seems that Mei freezes people solid with a sneeze! I recommend that people try BSh2 out! :D

For the Atlas scene I think you're absolutely right about them just using a generic enemy model for him because towards the end of the game after you've learned he's actually Fontaine he'll talk to you through your radio while he's splicing up for the first time ever, because previously he didn't want to ''mix business with pleasure'' which would mean that during the bathysphere scene, he's supposed to be completely clean and not have any splicer deformations.

Atlas/Fontaine doesn’t actually get a fully rendered, original character sprite until Burial At Sea (discounting the Spliced Fontaine boss model). So yeah, the Waders Splicer is meant to be Atlas, but you’re never supposed to be able to see him up close until the Fontaine boss fight at the end of the game. As far as the Tennenbaum model, she also doesn’t get an original character model because it was easier to use generic assets (if I know correctly, she’s a Lady Smith)

Also, he should take a closer look at the rubble in the subway that Heather says has a body under it. It's in the same area where you get a wine bottle to fill up with gas. I've never been able to see a body there, even when using the game's zoom function. I think maybe they accidentally left that text in for the other pile of rubble with a clearly visible pair of feet sticking out.

MegamanXfan21xx Yes, that was a mistake. Fungo was talking about that exact same thing in his last livestream of SH3. But, there is simply so much to see in that video. Like, the scene where the ghost pushes her onto the tracks in that same level. Can we see outside of that POV shot? What about the door on the train tracks? Is there anything back there? What's in the bloody locker next to the one where you get the maul in the sewer level? Can we get a good look at the fukuro girl? Can we see the mannequin's head get cut off? Can we see inside Robbie the Rabbit's suit? What is burning at the center of the merry-go-round where you fight Cheryl? Can we get a closer look at the big monster blocking your way in the level with the storybook pages? And there is so much more.

What do you guys think of Silent Hill 2?
@ParadoxialRepetition8 жыл бұрын
Shesez SH2 was great, but SH3 is the best one. Everyone focuses on SH2 to the detriment of SH3 which is far superior. Better acting, better graphics, more to see and the best characters in videogame history. I hope that if they read this message, they decide to do SH3 instead of SH2 because everyone talks about SH2 nonstop. Any none fan would think SH2 was the only SH and while it was a great game, it was also partially responsible for ruining the series later on because the new developers just didn't seem to understand that there were three other games in the main series and SH2 was the most radically different one. Instead of taking note of that fact, they instead decided that SH2 was the root of the series (when it was literally the exact opposite) and would copy that game into oblivion, diminishing the original ideas and concepts of that game. However, in terms of this video series here, SH3 would simply be the best option due to the fact that it simply has the most stuff to see and look at - as I listed above.

Hi! French fan over here (Actually Quebecers) Hum, I am not quite able to see what it's written but I can see some of it. and the text repeats itself. But it seems like a religious book. The first part is blurry. But, where there's the number, it says: 1- The conditions of admissions and of participation are as followed. 2-Make the above prayer everyday (Blurry part) 3-Make a holy communion for the sake of all mothers associated with [too blurry and doesn't make sens] of the Saint mass and the holy communion 4- Attend as much as possible the monthly meeting of the brotherhood. So it's a book about religion/brotherhood. After that, it only repeats the same four sentences. A main reason as to why irrational games did not create a unique atlas and tenenbaum character was due to financial restraints- they had very little money to play with while making bioshock and thus had to reuse standard splicer models. Hence why when you meet tenenbaum she is standing behind a glass window covered mostly by shadows. Because she was a standard splicer model but they didn't really want to show that, same with atlas-standard splicer model, hence why you barely get a look at him before the final level. Just fyi. The devs still did an amazing job with what they had though and I think tenenbaum being mostly hidden by shadows added layers of immersion and mystery to her character whereas fully revealing her would have not. Also the amazing bathosphere ride/introduction level to the city of rapture was added to the game only about 1-2 months before it's release :)
@hurricane77272 жыл бұрын
I think you see Tennebaum in the Balcony when you first meet a Little Sister. I think the reason she looks younger in Bioshock 2 Is because she felt she redeemed herself from her Experiments and lived a Peaceful life for a While
@lachlanu30702 жыл бұрын
@@hurricane7727 Yes you do see her on the balcony in bioshock 1. Her model is that of a splicer because the devs had to cut corners. However in 2 they had more of a budget to play with so more unique character models.

This was interesting. I've never played much of anything not released on a Nintendo console, so I've never played Bioshock, but it at the very least has interesting off-camera things to see.

Not quite within the scope of what this channel is about, but I happened to do some noclipping around Fort Frolic myself in the hopes of recreating it in another game's map editor, and I discovered that they cheat a lot with the geometry. For example, if you get near the spot with the pile of flaming debris that leads to the restrooms and the lounge where "Beyond the Sea" plays and look out the windows, you can clearly see that the whole area is hidden behind the virtual greenscreen wall they use to project the skybox. It really messed up my plans because the other game's engine doesn't let you do that.

Hope you gonna do same thing for Bioshock 2! There is quite few underwater sequences that you could explore! Welp now Im off to watch rest of this series, you have awesome voice!
