Cut clip information provided as a pinned comment down below
Authors Comments: Twin Snakes was the second metal gear game i gave a real chance to. The first was Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. It was based on how much i loved that game that i gave this game a chance. I guess i did it right, because the ridiculousness of MGS3's bosses mentally prepared me for the more over the top action cutscenes of Twin Snakes.
Because of that, I honestly prefer Twin Snakes over the original due to the improved graphics and first person cam. But going back today, I do kind of wish they kept Snake toned down a bit so that his exploits are within the realm of reality.... Maybe Twin Snakes is a VR training mission for Raiden.

Off Camera Secrets: Silent Hill. Preferably 2 or 3. There are so many things hard to see or even completely out of sight in those games. When does Pyramid Head appear behind the bars? Where does Valtiel crawl off to every time? What's the mirror room look like? What the hell is behind the foggy glass in the hospital? There is a world of possibilities with any of the first four games. Would love to see that!

These are MY games... love em all to the bones ! (Except that crappy Shattered Memories one..) I'd honestly prefer a video for the first Silent Hill which has the most intriguing areas.. The pits depicting the city getting devoured by the nothingness.. All areas frost fences are preventing the players to go to.. The highway where Harry and Sheryl crashed... normal and hell dimensions should both be thoroughly explored. DOUBLE TIME WORK.. Sorry. LOL

Great episode. Been following your Boundary Break vids since the early eps and I'm really digging how you've polished the format and editing over time. Though I enjoyed the end-of-the-video wrap-ups you did in previous episodes that cut back to live action with you in front of the camera always felt sorta jarring. This ep felt streamlined and even more professional. (also all the editing jokes were A+.) Super happy seeing this series get more exposure and views, much deserved!

Great video! The MGS series definitely deserves to be featured in BB. Never thought a simple whiteboard would be one of the most insteresting things in the episode. Also, I find it makes sense that the corridor is only rendered "clean" during the cutscene. They way it is the game only needs two models: a bloody playable one, and a cutscene one. Otherwise, they'd need three: gameplay clean, gameplay bloody, and cutscene. Since you don't see it before Gray Fox attacks the soldiers, it's all fine.

Hey man, just discovered this series, really nice job! Though for this MGS episode, there are two things I kinda think would've been interesting to see closer; first is the corridor before the Rex chamber. It was pretty empty in the PS version but here it's got some water and stuff at the bottom. Also, and this is a bit more interesting, above the control room in the Rex chamber there's some...thing floating a bit out from the wall. It can be seen with the sniper but obviously not that up close. I've got no idea if it's supposed to be an emergency light or whatever it is, or if it's really floating or if it's just a long-distance model that makes it look like it. I've always found it mysterious and interesting though.

This is a great game to view as it's a Japanese game ported by a Western dev. Japanese are notorious for thorough modeling. I worked on a few WWE games, which were developed by a Japanese company. I wrote a one-off cutscene taking place in a hospital room. The company didn't think to make a set-like facade, instead wanting to model an entire room. And they even wanted to model the bottoms of the feet of the hospital-gown-wearing model. This wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't under such a time/budget restraints.

Now I can't be 200% sure, but I've learned that placing a small cube or something else (such as invisible curves going around the model) CAN act as a "handle" if you want to select the entire model. For example, if you wanted to move it in the Scene's space and wanted everything to tag along. //Student of Game Graphics
