Hey Mike, Love your videos. I would love to do something link this in 24v as that is what all out cabins run here in Alaska. How hard is it to find the stuff to build a set up like this? Do you have a parts breakdown list? What is fuel economy like with this one?

In your case just find what kind of batteries and inverter you want to run, then find an online retailer that can ship there. They have plenty of 24v inverters and batteries. I will be doing a full break down video soon as its easier to show all the smaller items and connections, but honestly just a battery, good quality copper cable, the inverter, and solar panels is all you really need to get started. Hope that helps! Please ask if you have more questions.

You are in Texas? Glad you don’t seem to be affected by the storms. Knock wood!

Congrats Bud, seen you growing with you systems. Looking forward to this set up.. the 220 split ph is awesome for the whole house setup.... you went all out ! post up some of your thoughts on that EG4 Inverter... I'm on the fence on it... about to go 48 volt and going to a Victron but they have that Issue that when you plug in the grid they just bypass everything unless you do a bunch of programing from what I understand...

@@mikeq5664 thanks for the comment, it’s up and running, I have a build video will be releasing here shortly, it’s a very nice unit, very happy with it so far! I’ve already ran 600 kwh through it no issues, connected to 10kwh of batteries and 3kw of solar. Victron stuff I’ve heard is good but the eg4 has been awesome.

Ohhhh ok I didn't see this video have your upgrade this was the inverter I was referring to but I see you went ahead and upgraded to the 6000xp

The chargeverter is just a old server power supply in a box with pretty wires. That company found a genius business model.

Wish I didn't live so far North... To my south is a bunch of 60 foot pine trees on the neighbor's property. Love this content though...

The 6000XP is no upgrade. It's a high frequency, transformerless inverter that offers a poorer surge capacity and a shorter life expectancy than low frequency transformer based inverters. In addition its not even legal to install in your home as an ESS system in the U.S. because it lacks UL9540 certification.

I see your point, it’s really only an upgrade for my because of split phase capacity. But if it last 5-10 years I’d be happy, and I agree low frequency is the way to go, just way heavier and have a slightly higher idle power draw
