sold out my mt property had since our young days. The wildfires are too close these days, the beetle is eating up the forest and the drought is just constant. Not allowed to drill down the well as the state won't allow it, and farther down their wells are going dry. It was my rocky mt high, but now they want HOA's in the forest. Taxes are atrocious for no services.

Yes I'm commenting again. Lol I always wanted to see a moose. While living in the Colorado mountains years back. I was drinking coffee on the deck on my sister house . Here comes a moose walking down the street. Followed by a local law officer. That week in the little town paper it was said to be the new visitor in town. Lol They are truly awesome !

You are so right! The world is a mess. I’ve been fishing my whole life since I was small. I’m in Iowa. It’s now gotten to the point that I won’t take anything out of the local river. I haven’t for many years. Also I have a few “honey holes”...farm ponds that I’ve gone to for years. What fun! What feasts you can get out of them! However, now I’m second guessing a few of those because of pesticides and run off. It’s just sad. Very sad.

I'm with you Boss. A motorcyclist, I rode into a downpour lightning storm and the rain got warmer. Yesterday I saw a big dead tree trumble at 100yds, at 50yds it was crashing on the road in front of me, a magnificent sight I'll never forget. Glad for ABS. Dude, build a trailer for the Ranger, double your haul, save trips(gas). Having fun and trying to help. You got Moose Drool hah.

Rolling with the changes is what you do well, JC. I've accepted that nothing stays the same, but there are times it it is a "rough go", to pass through some of those challenges. Our brook is clear and I am thankful, for as long as it lasts. Funny you say your new cabin will become your HOME BASE. We just bought a teardrop camper and ventured off the farm for the first time in 18 months! Safest way for us to visit family/friends/campgrounds/day trips. I got to see my 1st cousin in Fairfax, Vt. last week. We stayed at a super campground. Next is a trip to a North Hampton campground before it closes and a shore dinner at Rye beach. This has potential! A good way to get off the farm, if even for two days. When you and Lori are on the new home site, at some point, we would enjoy bringing our little teardrop over to finally visit. My guys are still haying today. We are late, with all the NH rain. Our customers are anxiously waiting for us to finish! .....I'm glad to hear of your future plans. The timing is right. It makes good sense. ~ Diane

If I had a brother you would be my first pick....just love you both and the dogs . Last few days have been very trying for me, my sister whos been with me for years and lives with my husband and I fell backwards as her legs just gave out-she just turned 71 and I am 72...now shes in the hospital as had to call the emts and now they want her to go in a nursing home and shes my only sister. Whwn you were talking about change and how things never are the same it stuck a core with me as in my heart I struggle with not accepting change very well and never have but sat here in Ohio on my farm and as your words rested on my mind something very spiritual occured and I looked at another change which is with my sister and with my heart breaking I realized...this is nothing I can do about this , its old age and I must accept it or be crushed...so thanks for your words of wisdom and God bless.
