This type system in conjunction with algae beds for producing biofuel, plus some chickens, goats, and honey bees is what I have in mind for my church/NPO. Im glad to see it being done in the real world. Inspiring stuff.

You guys are fantastic! I am an Ex-pat American who has been living in South East Asia for just about 20 years and am hoping to be in Cambodia soon. My dream is to help the people there create small Aqua systems like this to support their families and villages. They are having a tough time of it with climate challenges and their lack of knowledge on how to move into more progressive forms of farming from traditional. Just trying to raise some funds but DO plan on donating to you fellas just as soon as I can see some light. I do have some interest and have created a Crowdfunding Project. Feel like coming to Cambodia Travis ? :-) Thanks again fellas. Peace and respect. Tom

You probably can build your garden which does not require weeding, tilling or cultivating, the spreading of fertilizer or garden compost, without any watering or irrigating; all while your vegetables yield up to 10 times the amount of veggies than plants from a dirt garden.

Just thinking of a serious storage unit for your... Inverters and electrical hardware...rather than those light plastic boxes... what about an old decommissioned 'Chest Freezer' you could run your cables into and out of same in plastic flex conduit and use hole saws to cut the openings fixing rubber grommets and or silicone sealer to stop ingress of water .....lockable and less exposed to the elements...others could be sourced and could be partitioned off and used for storage ..great upload...

probably the same as does from your cups, dishware, pvc plumbing in your house, and food containers.. minimal. the thing with plastic is that it is usually sterile and safe, unless it is heated up to a certain extent, respective to the type of plastic. just like metals, glass, and ceramics/every other kind of container you might use, short of handmade natural stuff from bamboo, leaves, etc. the bacteria in the soil is probably more a threat than (quality) plastics leaching out chemicals.

J.M. I can get the drums free, from a food grade plant. If I buy them new over $100.00 each/$500.00 for 10 half drums. So it is best if you can get food grade drums for free or at a low cost. Lumber, solar panels, pumps & greenhouse cover may cost more or less in your city, then other places.

Hey how would it work if, Instead of 1 drain and one water feeding pvc pipe PER each barrel, You put ONE at the very beginning which puts water in the barrel, then putting the drains width wise so theres an ebb and flow between the first barrel and the last barrel??.. you have a reputable resource from which you obtained this information? do you have pvc plumbing in your home? galvanized steel piping is also toxic/carcinogen, as is almost anything non-organic, depending on genetic displacements. i would like to have your resource to research for myself, if you dont mind listing it here. hydroponics involves the use of plastic and or pvc in some way or another, the question is which materials are more harmful and how much it effects the plant/fruit..

(Can it water plants in soil greenhouse, be recycled?) What is water need? Economics? How 2 run in winters? PS: We Christians must mission first to our own folks (called Adamites) here, before going to 3rd world others (not called "nations" if you know identities!) Some now homestead arid NM mesa wild zone (see), need food production!

it's not a good idea to mix and match different types of modules they have different voltage and amps. when you connect your modules is series to build your volts having a smaller module will restrict the max power because in series your volts will only be as high as the lowest module. So for instance the 3 silver modules are 30ocv and the black module is 23ocv that means when you connect all 4 modules each module is only going to pull out 23ocv each.
