I’d put the batteries on top of some sort of foam or insulation pad, so during the winter it doesn’t thermally conduct the coldness from the floor.
@AnAlaskaHomestead2 ай бұрын
That’s a good idea.

Excellent move with the solar!! Now you can cross that off your list of things to worry about come winter! You both are looking good, I hope you both are feeling good. Have a great week and stay safe!!

Yeah that was one I was a little nervous about.

Brian I know it’s a pain but you may want to consider moving your battery cables to on top of the batteries rather than hanging out the side for something to catch on them or become a trip hazard. You know safety first. Can’t afford to let any of that energy out uncontrolled or stumble and fall. It could be a very bad day. Enjoy watching. Live Free!

Hello Brian and Diana👋. Good to see you today. Will be nice to have your solar set up in the cabin. Easier to keep an eye on it when winter comes. Good job Brian. You got any fishing trips planned?🎣. We have been busy here on Cape Cod with gardening and fishing. The season is so short you got to do it while you can. Thank you both for sharing today. Have a blessed Sunday and week. Take care✌️🇺🇸❤️❤️

I know that feeling when your connecting your batteries together. I get it everytime I mess with my solar system My charge controller took a crap on me and it was less than two years old.

I blame the squirrel that was storing pine cones in and around it last year.

Happy to see ya'll are back in the swing of things. The skiff was given a second lease on life, another day or two of rain.. 😂😅 Im glad ya'll are getting the solar setup moved inside, no reason to have any interruption of power this winter. Love ya'll ❤️

The inverter I’m replacing is on back order everywhere. I just ordered a different brand, we will see how this one works.

The capacitors in the inverter are best energized slowly, with a resistor. Once energized you won’t have a lightning bolt arc which can damage “stuff.” Also when you disconnect the inverter the capacitors will hold energy for many minutes so care needs to be taken not to short the positive to negative. Will Prowse has a video on this.

It takes a lot to sink it tin boat with flotation in the seats trust me I know one time I was pulling the kids on a tube in my little 12 foot fiberglass boat with a 15 horse on it turn the corner let the rope get slack and then when it went tight the tube pulled the boat underneath the water yelled at the kids to get off the tube opened the throttle all my fishing gear and a $600 fish finder we're sitting in the boat floating barely made it to shore at the lake it sure was glad I didn't lose everything don't think I'd do that again And my fiberglass boat had no flotation in it anymore because I cut the original seat so put just a board across the middle and underneath the front I cut a hole out restorage underneath the front seat
