Heavenly! I could really feel the setting, the relaxation of getting to soak. And the storytelling of how this works in your day. Oh - And the personal hygiene info!! Thanks.

twenty years off grid in Alaska.I built 8x10 add on to the cabin and put the heat stove in it. then made a sliding partition. 8x10 was 110 in 15 minutes.Sauna with a back door and a garden can for a shower.all done open the partition and continue to heat the cabin.worked great.little water,same wood.joy to you.

That sounds like a heaven. I love the idea of a heat “addition”. We spent our week in the “new” cabin and it took a good 24 hours to heat the mantle and get the chill out. And used a ton of wood. My workshop cabin heats in 10 mins with a barrel stove. I’d like the benefits of both. Maybe I’ll design an insert with a solar blower for warmer startups. Thanks so much for sharing and joining us on our adventure!

Thank you so much. We shared a lot more personal stuff this time - and you can imagine putting it out for the world can be “uncomfortable “ at first.

Could you set up a ram pump to feed a water tank, and make a gravity feed water system? Then designing it so it won't freeze in winter?
@Cabin_Dad
@Cabin_Dad 9 ай бұрын
@@landenschooler6726 that is a really good idea! Thank you for sharing it. The biggest issue is that you have to drain the pump after each use - a ram pump permanently installed with a drain would be awesome!

@@Cabin_Dad The only hitch I can think of it, how deep is your frost line? And how many gph would you have to keep circulating in your storage/pressure tank to keep it from freezing? 🥶

Hi Cabin Dad, I loved this 'new-format', (/no-noise ☺) video!... I was able to watch the entire thing without once needing to jump over to the 'volume' control! ☺☺ I'm just 'one opinion', but I loved hearing the creek running, the dialog, and the natural occurring sounds; much better than loud music. It's not that I don't like music (in fact I am a musician), I just don't like loud 'pipe-in' stuff in KZbin videos; it's just me, expressing an opinion... By the way, that's a great tip with your car-tire-wood-chopping idea.... You all live in 'heaven-on-earth'; you're very fortunate... Thank you for sharing it all with us.

I appreciate the feedback. I really do. One thing I learned over the years - if one person shares something - there are hundreds of others who are thinking it. I am a pretty flexible guy - and am willing to try new things. I rewatched some old PBS a few nights ago. Mainly old Rick Steves travel stuff and a Bob Ross. Rick Steves and Bob had different styles - Rick did a lot of voice overs during his show and then switching to shots of him walking and maybe doing an explainer. I like that style - but the shots with just a disembodied voice don’t do it for me. Bob Ross was always on camera and then shots of painting. Again disembodied voice. So that’s why I tried talking while you watched cabin chick struggling. Trying to keep voice overs balanced. This is fun and I appreciate your feedback.

Totally awesome tub bud. Question: cocktail…. Old Fashion?

I am continued to be amazed by how in tune we all are. Yes - Old Fashioned. My drink of choice. A good friend of mine taught me that a good Old Fashioned enhances a whiskey. When done right - there is nothing better on a winters eve - hot tub or not. Cheers to you freind.
