Jeremy one of my favorite drills to do is the box sprints. Place 4 cones approx 10-15ft apart in a square shape, you sprint to the first cone, then shuffle step to the next, backpedal to the 3rd cone and then shuffle step to where you originally started. This helps coordination as well as change of directions. Another one if the old Iron Cross drill we do on ice, but instead do it on dryland.

This year I have set up off-ice practices for my 10U team with the help of Zac at 247Hockey. Kids have loved it so far and I've been incorporating a whole bunch of speed, agility and strength training drills that have shown definite results on a week to week basis.

Jeremy in just a few months I will be skating with a team that plays at the highest level of hockey in the Region that I am from. They have a select team and an elite team in order to skate with the elite I need to skate with the select team and get noticed by the elite team. Can you give me some tips on how to make the elite coach notice me at a select practice?

I always wanted to be goalie and yesterday my team's goalie wasn't there. I got offered to be a goalie and I said yes with no experience. Also if you win this game you go to the championship. We won. it was my first time and everyone was proud. next game is the finals and my goalie won't be there. I have to do it. I'm really scared. I also have 25 year old broken pads I use. The team we are versing is really good. I'm scared I'm going to ruining my reputation and if we fail it's my fault. Any tips?

lilpumpkins relax you got this play the game very simply dont take any risk dont play the puck when it goes behind the net on the PP if you all of that everything will go well. And no if you lose its not your folt.

The biggest thing and also the hardest. Live and think shot to shot, don't think about the score just focus on what you can do. Like Tasmir said don't take chances, cover the puck get faceoff's try to keep the game at your pace in your end.
