Mariah has always been a hit or miss and pretty inconsistent in live, but she still has one of the best voices in this planet. Her tone and musicality is just very rare to find and replicated up until this days.

I'd like to believe she at least did the "the way" run in one breath in that particular tokyo dome concert. It's usually obvious if she took a breath in the middle like in "Forever". Pitch wise there's no way to tell. The second take of "Emotions" on MTV was almost perfect I think. There's little difference between that take and the dubbed version.

Dubbed or not that run was 100% done in one breath, her mouth looks very much in sync with the run. Apart from Fantasy, Forever and Without You, the dubbing was only done a few lines or words in each performance at Tokyo Dome. There were a few flat/sharp notes left in as well.

@@harlowes5093 Well, that’s not lambs fault. Those videos are made with education purposes. Artists are humans, and we should normalize doing this kind of videos in every fandom. We love her as a singer, and we love her voice even with flaws, and sometimes doing this videos of good and bad moments putting out faves as examples is not a bad thing. A fandom should like/love the celebrity, not idolize them.

As some who can’t sing but loves to, when you’re voice isn’t doing what you want it to on a certain day, it sucks😂. Her voice was so pristine during Daydream, I can only imagine what it was like to have the “perfect voice” and tone, then going flat or sharp, but then again, with her discography ain’t nobody could’ve came close to her execution even then👏🏽👏🏽

Tbh I don’t think daydream was all that pitchy as ppl may think. You can literally pull an off key note from any of the eras but for some reason ppl like to focus in on dd. The real tea tho is dd’s off key moments aren’t nearly as bad as some of the other eras, I mean I’ve never heard dd sound like this…..0:41 1:26 Most of time dd era is off pitch it’s just slightly above or below the note and it’s not even that noticeable. These on the other hand were quite jarring…..

Daydream is very pitchy, at the point she goes almost whole semitone below or the notes, every date. Obviously you can pull out some off pitch moments from every era, but from one day or two, not from the whole thing. And those clearly are cracks, not pitchy moments. Doesn’t quit the fact that Daydream was very pitchy.

I, unlike the creator of this video and ones like it, don't choose to give ammunition to bring my fave down. Videos like this, like I said, get used to tear her down. It's just how it is. Theses 'fans' spend hours finding clips to put together that highlight flaws, not just show she has them like everyone else. And, again, they are used by haters as receipts to spread their 'tear Mariah down' and 'Mariah can't sing' agendas. There is no other fandom that does videos like this. It's the same as the 'dubbed vs undubbed' videos.
