I want to thank you ! After numerous trainers with my border collie/ pitbull mix . The prong dog collar and your methods worked magic diffrent dog. He was wild and could not be walked this was a game changer

I love how he trains alot of people are like “well we need to be gentle” no I’m not saying abuse or torture the dog but dogs are still animals and I feel like some people when training they don’t take in the part where dogs are still ANIMALS and that’s why I like him bc he knows they are animals and puts that in consideration

I have been watching your videos for the last few days and have been implementing your methods to my 7 year old American Bully rescue who did not respect or pay attention to me at all on walks or in the house and also has a very short attention span. Within 15 minutes of our first day using your methods I was able to walk him with complete focus on me with no pulling and no distraction, so much so I am able to rest the leash in my palm. Definitely buying your obedience 101 course. This is amazing!

Yea, the stay for my pit is the hardest to teach. She knows how to sit, lay, roll over, shake, and is well house trained, but that stay command is almost never obeyed. She'll sit and stare at me for a couple hours while I'm playing video games, but the second I get up and move, she's on my heels. My old springer spaniel/black lab mix understood commands in 3 different languages as well as hand signals.

You are giving us hope. We adopted a 9-12(?) months old German shepherd-border collie mix. He is smart, responsive, but NEEDS training and NEEDS a job constantly. He is our 7th dog in our life and had no problem training our others. But he has almost as much crazy energy as Whiskey. When our dogs are in free time how can we train them not to chew what is not theirs, not to swallow the pieces of their chew toys, and not to eat anything we don’t give them to eat?

They both serve as a signal to let your dog know that it is doing what you want of it. I'm by no means a professional so take this with a grain of salt, but I would assume it better to use only one so as to not confuse the dog

Awesome video again! The best on KZbin without a shadow of a doubt. I do have a question with the e collar. From your experience , what do you normally quantify for the stims of being training one, annoying one, or a corrective one? For instance, if I train at an 8, do you think annoying is a 20 and corrective a 50?

I suggest you check out our diyk9.com course. We delve very deep into the subject there. If you're already a student there ask questions through the course and we can help you and everyone in the course. That is not a one-size-fits-all question or answer unfortunately

I have a great Pyrenees/Bernese mix and she is too smart for her own good. The first couple training sessions she developed a reaction to me pulling out the prong collar. More rewards would be my suggestion. Whether its letting them sniff and click/reward or just some fast paced training that they can rewards quickly. Things they are good at but need help with is how I got her to enjoy it. Now I pull it out and she starts bouncing in the crate cause she knows that means rewards and training.

Recommendations for excessive barking? Are bark collars worth pursuing? I have a Pyrenees/Dane Mix that leans toward the Pyrenees when it comes to protection and dominance over her herd (us) to the point where she is constantly looking out the window waiting to bark at the next person she sees. It’s worse at night when she seems to be more in tune to the slightest noise.

Recently hired an in home “balanced” trainer who only believes in using the prong for pop style corrections with a vocal “no” and absolutely no leash pressure.. I’m really not enjoying it bc it just feels like I am constantly punishing.. where if I ask for a sit and they don’t and use leash pressure I get a reliable sit without a vocal correction. Thoughts on this?

Are most prong collars the same or is one better
@kyleashcraft41392 жыл бұрын
Garret I know it is probably been mentioned and may not be a great video, but what are some tips for teaching crate obedience. My two dogs go to their crate and love it, stay when I open the door, but when I get home or someone walks through the room they get rowdy. not in an aggressive way but as in they want to come out. I thought place board training would transfer to that but it has not. One big thing is if I take one out to train or go with me the other has separation anxiety from them thought that would get better with giving big rewards for leaving KONG Treat but it has not improved.

Does your e collar have a vibration and shock setting. If so when would u use a low/high shock vs a low/high vibration?
@solideomusical2 жыл бұрын
Whiskey seemed confused when Austin said "here" because he was used to responding to you. I wonder if using a 'non-standard' or foreign language command would prevent this because you don't want your dog obeying other people's commands (mistakenly or otherwise). Your thoughts?
@Astrid.Rosan002 жыл бұрын
German works awesome
@solideomusical2 жыл бұрын
@@Astrid.Rosan00 It is fairly common with working dogs so you may have the same problem. My friend trains Malinois with german commands and he says that his dogs won't obey anyone but him- even if the same command in german is used.

Why do so many people think that their own opinion is appropriate to proclaim on a public platform comment section in correcting the methods or whatever rhe content maker is creating ? It is like a random person telling Picasso that his methods are bad or he should do this or that in a different way? Like it blows my mind how narcissistic the world has become in the mind of people they are operating from ego and self and it’s not appropriate at all - this man is making his channel how he wants to make it and guess what ? If he wants opinions from his watchers or random people HE WOULD ASK FOR THEM ?!?! I heard not one single utterance or plea for help from anyone in the comment section or for any advice to better his own damn content - mind your own business and stay in your own lane - when you are asked for an opinion or asked for advice PLEASE GIVE IT - but nobody asked you for your opinions or thoughts on anything and it is so selfish entitled and rude to simply correct another person’s art or creativity and believe that you are actually not completely out of line for this kind of thing !? Blows my mind every time I see this kind of shit - people can talk of being trafficked or their abuse or overcoming drugs or whatever yet the comments that some people leave are correcting their use of bad words? Or their lack of pronunciation or grammar skills or even comments on their physical appearance or whatever else that is not even relevant to rhe words that were spoken by rhe person who told their story and bares their soul showed their deepest trauma and pain and all the person making a stupid comment heard was the F word !?!? So the whole message was ultimately dismissed by that one person who heard none of the trauma hurt or painful experiences of that human being and simply tuned the entire thing out because their feelings on a word being bad ? Well guess what! That is narcissistic behavior and FUCK NARCISSISTICS
@TheProdigalProphecies21 күн бұрын
And calling him sir and sugar coating the whole thing as a nice helpful can you do it please for me please lol - that is so narcissistic it’s fucking textbook lol Please look into narcissistic tendencies and behavior and understand it’s not just you it’s happening to lots of people out there as it is a spiritual malady at its core -

Is e collar a shock collar? 😠
@robertoverton2408 Жыл бұрын
YES & NO. Quality e-collars can be programmed for different stimuli. Educator brand e-collars allow you to program tone, vibrate, nick (tens type stimuli) or constant on levels from 1 to 100 of what people would consider shock. I have the Eduuctor e-collar 900.seroes and love it. Great but pricey, and documentation provided is poor, but you can find programming and training videos on KZbin. Hope this helps? Good luck!!
