While I definitely agree with you under normal circumstances, when a woman is in an abusive situationship she really isn't afforded that luxury. I've heard horror stories of women who were regularly SA'd by partners. I'm not being critical of you, I was also in the dark until a few months ago. I just wanted to let you know bc I know you're always trying to learn more and improve.
