Galvanising warps metal so that’s why things don’t line up right, something like round pipe with a little free play would have been better for lining it up instead of the square bits you cut off, you live and learn. Looks good though, cheers.

Yeah round definitely would have been easier. We also realised we hadn’t bolted the frame down 100% when we had been lining everything up so it’s definitely a live and learn scenario! Still works a treat though so that’s what matters.

Tapering the support legs would have guaranteed a fit every time, if you decide to go back that route. The slight angling would act as a guide.

Thanks so much! Oooo interesting take. Even though the rubber is same thickness on all four legs? We are thinking it’s more likely the fact that Shane put the guiding legs back on on when we didn’t actually have everything bolted down?

Thanks bro! We love hearing that the videos are helping others plans. No to plans, shane had a rough idea of what he wanted in his head and just decided to start. There are definitely things we would change and we will be doing a V2 build on here… but that was mainly proportional things for our boat and set up etc.

Haha yeah 0/10 these got fried pretty quick. We replaced and have to rinse with fresh water after salt at the moment. Unfortunately we got some really bad advice from the place we bought them from even though they were well aware they were going on a boat trailer.
