So in my survival playthrough, I love controller cars, but their lack of fine acceleration work makes it a bit of a let down especially when lining up with pretty much anything. Once I watched your video, I got the final piece of the puzzle and adapted it to a controller/gas engine hybrid car. You are a genius.

You could add some logic gates to turn off the engine that is not needed to conserve fuel but otherwise a pretty cool concept!

And- With a simple controller. One short fat pipe. Two bearings. One bent pipe. One straight pipe and a bolt. You can make a third drive with no fuel. Put the two bearings on one side of the controller. Drop the short pipe on one bearing. The right angle pipe facing up on the other. Place the short pipe and bolt. Then program the controller's first two settings to 6 degrees. Add a switch to the controller. And your wheel of choice to the fat pipe piece. Free momentum. And it can really move depending on the vehicle

Im watching it for better idea than mine. I made something like this in survival but didnt work. Yours work very nice! In survival i put and gate for electric engine. Switch and drivers seat into the gate and from gate to the el. engine.

you totally put a boat in the back with a v Hull. I really wish they had better mechanics for the boats. like using a propeller and a rudder setup. I think Thrusters is just to much for a boat/Ship.

wouldnt it be easier to pue a bearing on the frame set it to be driven by the EL, then a straight piece on that, then another bearing for the ICE engine, then wheel?

Stacking bearing like that causes a number of issues. Floppy bearings, poor torque, etc. Basically doing it that way would still give you twice the fuel consumption with none of the actual benefits....

You should make the dual drive button turn on the engine.

The original dual drive was on a double wishbone suspension, so it is possible. It will be extremely complex and large though...

There is a build on the steam workshop called "Dual Drive Offroad Survival Jeep". It has a solid axle on the front and rear + dual drive system with controller.

No, simple put the spring is an important part of how this works. In order to make this into a double wishbone, you would need to put this entire system, including the spring, onto the end of the double wishbone. You could replace the spring with a piston and put that at the end of a double wishbone, but it would still be impractical and almost pointless...

I have a question, how have you removed the lag from your suspension? Suspension parts seem to eat my FPS down to nothing, just placing two of them on my vehicle takes my FPS from 200+ to sub-40, yet you have 6 of them on your vehicle and it seems fine. How have you done this?

Does your suspension have a pathway back into the body of the car from both ends? That would cause suspension glitch which can tank your framerate.
