Please consider making more Jeep adventure videos. I totally understand why you went the radio direction, but, I found you because of your "better than a Rubicon" content....And I own a Rubicon..HAHA! I would love to go out with you on a trail ride , as I am also in the Inland Empire. Based on your radio videos, I have a UV-5R +plus for monitoring and emergency use only. I expect my my GMRS license any day, and will buy what mobile unit you recommend.

That "scary hill" at Brooklyn Mine almost claimed my 4Runner er Toyota's 4Runner (press vehicle) when I had a tire slip / complete blow out of my tire. Wasn't fun having to change a tire at the top of the hill but at least I made it :) After watching your video though I sort of regret climbing on that "pink mud" and kicking stuff around. How no idea that was cyanide! :) Love your videos, would love to explore with you guys sometime.

Good stuff, thanks! I don't think I'd ever enter an old mine without having a tether to the outside world. It's crazy to think that the men that worked those mine no doubt knew them like the backs of their hands. Good call on the pressurized air lines. I wouldn't have guessed that. GodSpeed Randy! Thanks for the upload

I’ve been listening to your GMR ass videos. But I don’t know how I haven’t stumbled across these. I love these videos man it’s almost nostalgic for me since I grew up at the capital Camp claim in southern Nevada. I think you should get back to some adventure videos but with the humor and overall VoiceOver vibe and quality of your newer videos. I think that would be a hit.

It's closed up!!!! 😢. I went in may2021 and went inside the mine. Just went today apr2022 and found a steel welding grate at mine entrance. Sorry folks. No more fun

Been to the cabin many times... nice to go with buds and just camp out for the weekend. My two cousin went all the way down that 100 shaft. I’m not that crazy 😜

Another great video! When I lived in So. Calif. I used to hunt and explore old ghost towns and gold mines. This was great to watch. Please tell me you took the "big scary hill climb" on your way out! :)

Been up and down the 'big scare hill' many times - and even though we initially planned to avoid it this day, we ended up taking it out.

Is this still the biggest mine you've explored in california? Me and some friends really love doing this as well and are looking for some crazy cool underground mines to explore. If you ever would like someone with more balls then brains to go into the places you don't feel comfortable with we are your guys

Nice, we're coming down there for our spring break. Think it'll be too hot in late march?
@TheNotaRubicon6 жыл бұрын
One man’s “too hot” is another man’s “just perfect” .. but it’s not usually bad at all in March.

Thanks for another great video! Would a 2WD truck with locking rear diff and lots of clearance be able to do this run?
@TheNotaRubicon6 жыл бұрын
PROBABLY.. not a lot of loose spots and the clearance will help but dont go alone!

Do you ever stop and do any metal detecting at any of those abandoned ruins?
@TheNotaRubicon3 жыл бұрын
We've thought about it. but these places are covered in old nails, beer-tabs, and other trash so it would be a challenge.. Many of the sites are also over 100 years old so I dont think we're allowed to take anything.. the ones INside Joshua Tree Park you can't take anything regardless of the age..

great video, can a full size 2500 make it through?? 4x4 with leveling kit and 35 s?

We’ve had full-sized trucks up there before. They got a few scratches but they made it fine.

I have inputed the coordinates on Google map but they show at a different location compared to the map you show. I will be in the area in December and looking forward to this. Example, to make a left into the wash you have 34.018076, -115.676876, when entered this is above the location you show on map. Instead If I drop a pin at the left turn the coordinates are 34.018054, -115.676718 for the left turn into the wash. Could I be doing something wrong?
@TheNotaRubicon5 жыл бұрын
When I put both of the coordindates you've listed into Google Maps, they both come up within a few feet of each other - at the wash. you basically follow the road to the left, instead of straight up the hill.. even if you did follow the road straight up the hill, it meets back up with the wash at Rose of Peru Mine about 1/2 mile away.
@itsjessyforreal6 жыл бұрын
Can a full size F150 do this? 4x4 Lifted and proper M/T tires, I know it can handle the terrain just wondering if it would be too wide for some of the road at the end.
@TheNotaRubicon6 жыл бұрын
might not want to go up that hill to get out, but we've had other full size trucks up the wash with no issues.

Do you have to enter the park itself at one of the official entrances to get to old dale road and the mines?
@TheNotaRubicon6 жыл бұрын
You can enter via Cottonwood Springs off Interstate 10, Berdoo Canyon in Indio (the fun way!) or Old Dale Rd/Gold Crown Road off Hwy 62 in Twentynine Palms and not have to go through any gates or pay any fees.

I have camped there many times. Be careful if you camp in the open cabin with the flag on it make sure your tents are zipped up and all belongings are inside the mice from the cave behind it are rampant they will get into everything even if you string it up and hang it on the walls they climbed the walls and eat my bananas ha ha ha next time I’m bringing a BB gun!
