A Colorado DMV tester told me that the "suicide lane" cannot be used as a place to wait and find a gap between cars in the lanes you are trying to merge into. He said the gap must be there before you cross the suicide lane into that gap in traffic. Maybe FSD is just following the official laws regarding suicide lanes.

I also have a corner case to avoid a stop sign in my neighborhood. FSD always navigates to the stop sign instead of avoiding it by turning right at the intersection before it.

I believe that Tesla will achieve the vision of Cybercab. But I don't know when. Driving into the sun FSD shuts down now. It's also still having phantom braking. Also it's not even close to centered in the lane now, and some of that time it's on the edge of the lane with all the slush and snow.

Why doesn't anyone reviewing the Cybertruck ever say anything about the excessive wind noise the truck experiences at highway speeds? I mention it because it is very noticeable in your video and I have experienced it first hand in my truck once the speed get around 60 mph and faster. BTW: Thanks for your honest reviews of FSD. I'll also be happier once Tesla gets the whole reverse/park/un-park issue resolved for the truck..

re: Full Self Driving supervised: FSDs (in my CT) I believe I am a safer driver with FSDs than without FSDs, and the statistics show this. Why? When humans drive, we are not looking at the roadway ahead of us 100% of the time. FSDs does. Common sense tells us to not look away from the road for more than 2 seconds. FSDs nags us if we do. Anyone who has driven with FSDs knows about those FSDs reminders to pay attention, so that we can supervise when needed. The fact that these nags happen, should tell us that we are a lot less safe driving without FSDs, than with FSDs engaged. When humans are not looking at the road, we wonder off the center of our lane. FSDs keeps us centered in our lane. Human drivers look at what is behind them, probably less than 5% of the time. FSDs is watching the rear view 100% of the time. Same is true on what is in our blind spots. FSDs cameras are watching those areas 100% of the time, and the FSDs computers are making driving decisions and corrections 100% of the time, based on what it sees from all 9 cameras. Humans generally have just two eyes that guide us while driving (unless you're married 😂). FSDs' cameras give us 9 additional "eyes" to help guide us while driving. Now, when I'm driving with FSDs, my eyes can scan wider areas on the sides of the road ahead of me for hazards, knowing that FSDs will be keeping me roughly centered in my lane. This allows me to watch those areas more closely for critters like deer and elk here in Colorado. This is huge in my opinion. FSDs can also detect large critters potentially crossing the road in front of you, and can make corrections trying to avoid them, even if you don't see them. FSDs navigates well in unfamiliar areas, without the need for pulling out a map and being distracted. FSDs makes more efficient driving decisions, if set correctly. FSDs can keep you from exceeding the speed limit mindlessly. The CT is so powerful that you can exceed the speed limits quickly without realizing it, if FSDs is not engaged. So, even if FSD unsupervised is never realized, as some have speculated, we would all be a lot safer if we all were using FSDs. FSDs is getting so good that I fully expect FSD unsupervised will be available by the end of this year. But I believe that even if full autonomy is available, human supervision might still be prudent.

With my CT I see big changes between hurry and standard, especially in construction areas. I would be very interested in seeing your route on standard mode as a comparison. I’m not doing driving for test and I switch modes often.

Have you tried forcing it to turn by changing the turn signal, ie turn it on before the turn you want? That has worked for me a few times to teach it an alternative route, took a few repeated manual change in turn signals use before it did it automatically (was in earlier version of FSD)
